As someone who owns one, its ergonomics are horrific and it's purpose was to be mounted to the end of a M-16 to be used as a coup de grace for hunters but mounting a gun on a gun is illegal in some states, it also jams non stop. It has one good feature that it used standard Marlin 10 round magazines. I got mine new for 75 dollars new back in the day but word got around quickly as to how bad they were even for 125 dollars so gun stores started clearance them out .

Had to go back due this comment. IMHO, XM8 isn't unusual at all. Man, not only that but the replica is clearly made from ABS and has suffered cosmetic damage.

Saw most of these guns on Forgotten Weapons with Ian Mcullom and agree with his opinions on the Zip22 and the Dardick gun.

The Hungarian large caliber rifle still has plenty of recoil. If it didn’t, the man shooting it wouldn’t be pushed back with every shot. But, the amount of recoil left is fantastic for a 12.7 mm round!

I distinctly recall the XM8 having a heat tolerance issue; the plastic furniture of the handguards would melt as the barrel reached certain temperatures from repeated/sustained automatic fire.

Pretty sure the XM8 wasn't chosen because it didn't warrant the high cost of fielding such a rifle. Sure, it looked cool, but compared to the average M4A1 carbine, it was more or less the same while being at a much higher price.

Lynx was actually something Barrett was request by the army. The army wanted a shoulder-fired-anti-material rifle, designed to take down helicopters. Barrett created the M82A2 but half way through the process the Army canceled the project, and it never got pass the testing phase. Bull pup 50 BMG sniper is a pretty dumb idea ngl.

The H&K xm8 they are showing is an airsoft gun.

2:20 - a 5.56 (M-16) caliber that doesn't offer any actual advantage over an M-16. Same 30 round capacity magazines. Same 100 round drum mags, and an overall more bulky (not to mention goofy looking) package.... No wonder it got cancelled. I imagine the "Malaysian Military" only use it because the got a rock bottom offer in a promotional offer attempt by HK.

Technically it is a silencer as original patent was held by a muffler manufacturer and it list name as a silencer, though it technically only suppresses volume through a variety of methods based on design, mostly dealing with dropping decibel level of air movement and changing no mechanical noises

What's so special about a PMR? If they were gonna do a Keltec weapon they should have gone with the KSG. I finally got one and I freaking LOVE it. I've got almost $700 into it and another $1,000 to go but even out of the box (besides having no sights whatsoever) the thing runs like a tank.

I'm thinking I'd prefer to not let a zombie get close enough to me to use a chainsaw...

The Remington 870 was/is a shotgun not a rifle unless you turn it into a pulse rifle!That .22 plastic Zip Gun was reported to be virtually hopeless and very unreliable.With that opening picture it looks like a.50 AE which somehow has a yellow 20 gauge shotgun shell, perhaps out out a Remington 870?,stuck in it which of course is far too big to fit in a .50 as I think that 20 gauge is the equivalent of about .62.

Imagine if someone made a double barrel desert eagle modified with modernized nitro express rounds. If to powerful, modify it further to have a rifle stock, and longer muzzle and barrel.
