The whole idea behind a non leathal weapon is to be as effective as as a leathal weapon in subduing your attacker WITHOUT having someone's death on your concience. I mean, seriously, what's with this "kill or be killed" mentality gun nuts have!?

FYI, the bb gun at the beginning is not recommended for self-defenses. It's designed for collectors and those who would like to train on how to use the model gun without using expensive ammo. The most you can do with that bb gun is maybe bluff with it. But be careful, that can also get ya shot.

I spent 24 years in the Da Hood, first defense lesson. Leave the area, no house or city is worth your safety; if you can leave area do so. Second, Guns can save your life but rarely do. If you follow rule one you lower the probability of a tough situation. Gun is useful ironically when every other option has failed. Awareness, finding an escape route or de-escalation often wasn't even considered. Awareness, keep your eyes open, a man points a gun at a cashier. Don't create victims but notice what he wearing as you step back. Does he have an accomplice? Notice details, call the police too at the same time. FOR GOD SAKE IF YOU SEE THE CRIME FROM ROAD DON'T PULL IN. Think, react, evade and reassess fight or flight; not all fights can be avoided but using deadly force should be the last course for either a man or woman. Heroes can get people killed, you aren't John Wick. Life isn't a movie.

Here's a bit of stupidity for you. In those places where concealed carry weapon is available, it applies only to firearms, not to weapons carried adjunct to the firearm. Fortunately, most policemen will not complain about a woman having spray, just as, even recently, many would not arrest a woman for having a purse pistol. But the law is the law, and you must assume you will run into a stickler. I have no idea why non-firearms, for lesser-force options, are not automatically covered by the permit, although it may be that the need for competency training makes legislatures concerned. Adjunct to that, may be the fear that, under most department policies, if a lower level weapon is taken, the next level is automatically justified. In short, if your spray is taken, you are automatically justified in using the pistol, which the legislature may think will lead to the "drop-weapon" cascade, that you let him take your spray so you could shoot him. Some prosecutors are just that cynical.

9:42 Those plastic cuffs are worse than standard metal cuffs. It's clumsier and takes more time to apprehend someone with those plastic ones... Only potential use i can see is if someone wants to conceal those cuffs from metal detectors, if you are undercover FBI agent or something.

.Most effective defense weapon costs about 5 dollars on Aliexpress. It's a simple key chain with a length of cord with a small steel ball encased at the end. If you know how to react to a threat this little device will save your ass. My sister was attacked on her way home from work and she sent the guy to the hospital. Where he was arrested. He demanded she get in his car. When she refused he got out and tried to grab her. She nailed him in his arm then face. Opening a 4 inch gash on his forehead. She ran away and called the police. It's not what you have on you It's how you react.
