Besides the BMW used in this test sounds like a manual. And lastly, it could also be an automated manual transmission

A lot of the tests also depend almost as much on if not more the weight of the vehicle. the rocket test is perhaps the most obvious case of this but most of the others also fall victim to this bias

Waboll should’ve won rocket survival, it was clear it was going to if it didn’t hit the grass.

The Hopper is lightweight, so even with a weaker engine its power to weight ratio is higher than the other two or three, hence it became 3rd in the first competition but worst in the rocket one - less weight = less grip.

I personally would have DQ'd the LXT on the test with the rocks in the trailer, since the trailer came off the hitch. While, yes, the trailer did make it across the finish line, it wasn't connected to the car anymore.

that wasn't the test tho, the test was for the car to get it there, the rules said NOTHING about a scenario where the rocks fuse with the trailer or the trailed becomes detached, it was "get it there with rocks in the trailer" and "fused with" counts as "in" so stop being technical on a dang meme video already, cause that's literally what this is lol

Thanks for the humour along with the essential scientific experiments you perform. 'Denis' Hopper was a fighter who didn't give up despite being outsized and outclassed. To use a highly technical term common in South Africa, the cars were 'shitwhipped' around the rallycross course by those rocks! I would like to see various military utility vehicles do this same set of challenges, maybe followed by their civilian counterparts.

@@DCW121 You can fit a V12 engine on a Miata and get it to work irl, but the BeamNG.drive Miata's strongest engines are V6 and V8, that's it. You can't put any engine stronger than those unless you make a whole another mod.

I have an issue with the pressure test; there is a limit to this because the friction that the tires can withstand can only amount to a specific amount given the mass of the vehicle and the speed that the wheels are spinning. There is a flaw with this test. The torque should be measured on some type of track with unlimited friction aka a rigid disposition without tires but gears.
