I would make the case that the Schofield (your Russian 44 being one of the two variants) was the coolest revolver of the Old West. That dmax thing is pretty gnarly too.
0:40 I've seen that gun here before I've ever heard of Olympic shooting.
Whatever you said that first pistol is, it looks a lot like a North American Arms NAA-32 Guardian. Not 100% identical, but very close.
I wish more guns shops would post these videos of weird guns I find them really interesting
The h&r with the ten inch barrel reminds me of that ridiculous gun the joker has in some old batman movie.

_HE STOLE MY BALLOONS!_
The .44 Russian was the cartridge that both the .44 Special and .44 Magnum evolved from. Dimensionally the cartridge was identical to both with the exception of the cartridge being shorter than either. Developed in 1869.
I remember reading an article about the D-Max in American Survival Guide back in the '80s. Also in the early "80s or late '70s I had one of those brass-frame .36 caliber double derringers, just like that one. Unloaded the hammers would drop one at a time, but when it was loaded it would fire both at the same time and put the rounds about 4 inches apart at 7 yards.
As it says in the desciption, D-Max 100P Pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Designed with a Sten in mind and using modified M3 Greasegun magazines. 6" barrel. Also produced in 10mm, .41 AE, .40 S&W, .38 Super and 9mm Parabellum. They also made a carbine version of this.
good point, I do agree
I love the look of that Schofield repro. That weird spur at the base of the trigger guard was to protect your hands against swinging sabers and what not as it was a popular cavalry weapon. Neat look all around.
I have only seen two in my life... so far they are indeed rare
Nice! I like how you check each gun to see if it's loaded. It's nice to see youtube videos that show firearms being handled safely. I was raised around guns and my dad taught me to always check to see if the gun is loaded.
wow, first time seeing a dmax!! im in love, i need to have one.
The Walter gun is not so unusual here in germany, its a classic sport-shooting design
mateba unica 6, weird, rare, and cool.
That Ruger .44 looks like something you'd mod up in Fallout 4.
I have the H&R you were holding with the 10inch barrel mine is very old I think its called a trapper I shot 22 long out of mine standard velocity only
Nice review...Thank you!
@DerFeindr We don't agree on any of the fundamentals.. but thanks for a reasoned and calm description of your POV
love the look of the break open revolvers.
I can already feel the slidebite on that little pocket pistol.
The percussion cap firing gun looks like something that might be valuable.
takes out tiny revolver, "im not going to consider this a weird one, this is the weird one" o.0
I think we did, it's not very good IMO, but if / when we do another pocket pistol vid, I'll include it
thanks
love the 22 thing and the uberti before it
Thanks for posting, enjoyed the vid.
gotta love that long barreled 44
The Walther - and it's predecessors - are amongst the commonest pistols in Europe, due to the popularity of small-bore pistol competitions there.
Like the brass derringer, best looking one I've seen in a while. Not to mention the Sten pistol is awesome.
That ergonomic grip is funky, but i think i like it.
that second one looks awesome, IF you take of and replace a normal grip to it
That H&R is for those compensating for something!
you should do another one of these videos for this Halloween. i really enjoyed it
nice collection some cool firearms
The Ruger Super Blackhawk is not odd. I have a new model with a 10 1/2 inch bbl and an old model unmodified with the 7 1/2 " bbl. Both in .44 magnum. Both are actually excellent hunting revolvers. Also have the Super Redhawk with the 9 1/2" bbl. That is a DA revolver. Robust and an excellent hunting revolver. While you may think they are odd, many hunters in areas of dangerous large game carry these revolvers. With Hogue grips the recoil is tamed down along with the weight of the revolver also helping control recoil. Much better than the light S and W. .44 mag.
the 22 short revolver was amazing
I would love to have one of those sten pistol
love those ubertis also, never undersstood why they stuck the mag in the side of the stens lol
@SkinheadCharlie cool, thanks for the info
Nice collection
Like that Sten type
Cool guns, love the derringer. Subscribed
The Joker called, he wants his gun back.
awesome videos! keep up the good work!
Oh man, those Ruger blackhawks are so much fun!
Black powder, flintlocks, and percussion caps those were the days
@MyOpinionBrother Yup...
I like that .44 with the oversize grip.
I have one. It's a blast.
The only thing i could think of throughout the entire video was "what the hell is that insanely irritating buzzing?" It sounds like he set his phone to vibrate and is getting 3 texts a second, it was like nails on a chalk board.
true
the second one is a target pistol that's why it looks like that do the person can get a nice purchase on the handle when target shooting
Now I found those Guns Interesting Sir!😉
That ruger, .44 magnum is a beautiful gun.
I thought the grip on the second one was the polystyrene they use to shape things like floorboards and etc. XD
i love that sten!
That last one would be considered an smg if it had a stock on it, lol.
Interesting selection of firearm oddities and thanks for posting! I would like to know how accurate the long barrel .22 short is at standard target ranges. After all, it's the cheapest ammo around, making such a pistol invaluable for new shooters.
yea, I figured some people wouldn't agree with me on this one, but I wanted to get some kind of Halloween vid posted I would take that .44 if someone gave it to me, but I'll also admit it's a BIG revolver
I love the mosquito gun XD
You're lucky to have a D-Max I looked for months for one and after finally finding ONE and only ONE it was the carbine version I wasn't interested in and it was ridiculously high priced.
Well, that is an interesting collection.
1:53 I died. 😂
the SP22 looks really cool and futuristic! would be cool if it used a bigger calibre round (apologies for any incorrect firearms parlance..i live in the uk)
@94Thatguy Naw.. if anything the question you asked (loaded with insinuation) was insulting not just to us but the whole firearms community Words matter
that H&R .22short made me laugh really hard lol reminded me of Jack Nicholson as the Joker when he pulled that really crazy long barreled revolver out of his jacket and shot the Batwing down lmao only smaller...
last one is sick
that walther looks so comfortable
the rear sight on the ruby looks just like the rear sight on the crosman pumpmaster classic.
Black powder and "just looking down the barrel" to see if its loaded has blown out many a ceiling, floor, walls, and the occasional trash can with half a cake with red icing (yup the last one is from a black powder gun owner).
the walter is a high end target pistol, it is a very nice fire arm.
I would definitely buy all the revolvers :D
The rhino would have been a good revolver to add into this video.
great vid!
that's a crazy looking grip on gun # 2
yes it does kinda look like that one, I know the movie you are talking about
I really like that Ruger
I really like the Ruby :O
the walter is a sport weapon for ergonomic handling its heavier and weighs more so you can stay accurate on taret while aiming thats the reason for the "weird shape" bur shoots great, my pistol of choice at competitions :D
of course your ears perk up whenever you think you hear that..
The h&r with the 10in barrel would totally nickname it a mosquito
@HakonNordhaug no actually they are really really common you can go into almost anygun store in america and they will most likely have one of those. they are called derringers. pardon my spelling i may have misspelled it.
They are unusual but genuine .
actually all of these are fairly expensive IMO
For any BP firearm I advise you to look at the nipples and see if they're capped before just looking down the barrel. I wouldn't look down the barrel in any case, use a rod of some sort down the barrel to determine if it's loaded if you aren't sure, that didn't have a loading rod but pretty much every other BP firearm does and that's what I use.
that walter looks good for a sports pistol.
I want the first one!! :D
That H&R reminds me of that LONG BARRELED revolver the 'Joker' had on Batman(the original w/Jack Nicholson)!
I want the last one.
The H&R... "And we shall call it... The Mosquito."
cassassinw the bren was a .303 light machine gun the gun your thinking of is the sten gun which was 9mm but in the description it says the u max is 45acp which means it cant be based on the old sten gun
That ruby is nice
These weren't that unusual tbh

you know about so many guns, these are normal
i'm a huge fan of unusual and exotic guns :)
I have that same black powder pistol. It's a great shooting little gun. The only problem is waiting five minutes between shot to see threw the smoke. :) P.S. I put a shotgun bead sight on the front and at 9 meters it is fairly accurate.
that first gun reminds me of the PSS from MGS4. Interesting.
lol 3:05 ... Just imagine Jack Bauer running around with that thing.
The D Max is the only vaguely odd one there, the rest are pretty standard firearms.
Because looking down the barrels is the correct way to check a black powder firearm....
