That’s usually the case. He could take the dog home and have him 100% trained in a day or so. But the minute the dog went back home, it’d be the exact same situation. It’s always a case of training the owners.

She only cared about how "inconvenient" his behavior was to her.. she wants to do NOTHING & expects the dog to just know what she wants & do what she wants him to.. And she's WAYY too nervous nonstop for any sort of guarding/protection type dog, she's bound to get someone, or herself severely injured or even killed.

I wish he was more assertive with people like this, it's a difficult conversation to have but I'm 90% sure he could've left there with that dog. I've seen other trainers do similar things. "Listen, both of you are miserable. There's nothing wrong with this dog, all the "problems" he has are your fault. He's not aggressive at all, he's an intact working dog. His energy needs are too high for what you're able to give him. He needs to work. His life would be 100% better with someone else, you'd be happier too. It's not fair to him, or you. Please let me find him a great home with someone who will give him an amazing life and purpose that he deserves. I'll buy him if I have to." This dog would be an absolute dream to so many people, myself included. Doberman's are my second favorite dog, after GSDs, followed by Border Collies, Mals and Boxers. Unfortunately, most people aren't equipped or competent enough to own working dogs. Most people shouldn't own them, they just like the idea of having a "remote control" dog that looks cool. When in reality, it takes hundreds, thousands of hours of work to train and focus their instincts. It's unfortunate so many people like this woman get them when they have no business doing so. Find her some kind of Pomeranian or better yet, a cat.

Pulled on the leash like crazy, was reactive towards all dogs, so I understand the woman's fear and paranoia, I too had anxiety, HOWEVER even when my anxiety was at its worst and I had fear around leaving the house with her, I'd still take her on at least 3 short walks in a day. It's called responsibility. And I love her so much, I'd never just keep her locked up. My love for that dog is greater than any fear I'm facing. And today, after 9 months, I bought a prong collar for her finally, educated myself well on how to use it and we're both so much better now. She practically doesn't pull anymore and I can feel like I'm the one in control and I can protect her.

That’s a great dog! He is screaming for direction, he anxiously moves around cause he needs her to tell him what to do. Just like DogDaddy said in part 1 video the dog treats her like a part of his litter. He’s not “biting” her he’s gnawing on her like he would a another dog in the pack. That is a GREAT dog!! Awesome temperament

Great Video !! As someone who has owned and trained 4 Dobermans. Two males/two females. This trainer is 100% on point. Minor oversites (have client wear proper shoes while training/no accents like purses). However other than that he is exactly correct about everything he is telling her. Do not get a breed like a Doberman without knowing your breed ! Different breeds have different needs. Dobermans are working class. They need LOTS of stimulation and distraction training. They are NOT for amateur dog owners. She needs the training - more than this dog. He is highly intelligent and just needs an owner smarter than he. I hope this all worked out for everyone. This is why so many Dobermans end up in shelters and rescues. People want the arm candy without understanding what it takes to raise this breed. Great job Dog Daddy !!

Sorry bit after watching part 2 I'm more convinced than before this dog needs to be rehomed. She needs to get a cat. When she mentioned sending him off to be trained as a Protection Dog says it all. She wanted a push button dog. Prince actually has a personality. This dog needs a strong experienced owner . She needs to move to a neighborhood where she feels safe. No dog should be subjected to her ignorance at this time.
