UNTOLD STORIES of NBA's #1 Bust ADAM MORRISON - When it comes to NBA busts there is a name that always comes up, Adam Morrison. Morrison was the best college player in the nation his junior year for Gonzaga and had arguably one of the best seasons in college ever
Drafted in 2006 3rd overall to the Bobcats and starting his career off making the 2nd team all rookie things were looking great. Then Injuries set in. from there he struggled to get back in his groove and the once player that was supposed to be the next larry bird finished his career 4 years later in los angeles as a laker with kobe bryant.
is he a bust or did he not get a fair shake due to injuries, find out who some of the biggest nba busts are in this video!

Thanks. This was a great story. I'm from Brooklyn and it really helps to understand from such a different perspective as yours. And I appreciate your saying that he's not a bust. We all have our own journey and Lord knows that for someone to even make it to the NBA with type 1 diabetes would be a challenge. He clearly had a unique road to take and is a unique person. He's an accomplished guy who took on great challenges. Just to get to the NBA itself means that you are one of the elite players in the world!
Nobody considers him the biggest bust definitely one of the biggest

Hmmm maybe I just don’t read outside of my primary sources enough. I feel like I hear Anthony Bennett brought up a lot now.
I don’t get why men are criticized for showing emotion. Would you rather have your best player not care if he loses ?

if you love winning it hurts like hell when you lose! facts!
NHL HOFer Bobby Clarke also had diabetes and dropped in the draft bc people were concerned and this was back in the late 60s early 70s when they couldn't monitor it as well as today. Bobby ended up winning 2 MVPs and lead the Philadelphia Flyers to two consecutive Stanley Cups. He played 15 years in the NHL and is arguably the greatest Flyer and one of the best players to ever live.

@@TheNBAWhiteGuy just thought it was interesting bc you don't see that a lot on pro sports so when you brought up that Adam had diabetes it made me think of Bobby and that even back in the day somthin like that won't stop you if you have the drive and look after yourself. Different sports in different eras but I'm sure they had similar challenges
Guy averaged almost 12 points a game his rookie year for a small forward that's not bust numbers. I believe if he hadn't gotten the knee injury he would have been a solid NBA player not what what he was expected to be but solid
I always felt if Adam Morrison stayed for his 4th year at Gonzaga they would have taken the national championship. Why didn't he stay? The NBA money would have still been there after his fourth year.
I was at elementary school with him in Casper at Pinview. We all would be out at recess watching him spin the ball on his finger. He was a neat guy
Homesick and exhausted from Diabetes. Feeling like crap at home is one thing, being away from home and reeling is quite another. Despite the big bucks, he was still a kid who just wanted to be home. That'll mess up your footwork on defense..
Why did y'all never get that dude to shower when you were young. Teammates not wanting him on the team is like half the reason he dropped out of the NBA soo fast.

He would have been awesome in todays game

yes seattle for sure but eastern washington (like gonzaga) has none. its literally 15 minutes from the idaho border.
Greg Oden is the biggest bust of all time. Though no fault of his own (Just like Adam) he had serious knee injuries. Oden was drafted before Durant.
thumbnail look like motown noah from a distance
2:18 - Pistol Pete! lol
He got injured wasn’t a busT
I wonder if this guy played basketball when he was younger 🤔
The issue adam had is his lack of athletic ability. His rookie year was accutually decent, but that ACL took away so much of what he had witvh was marginal to begin with. He proved he could score and kept that up even when he was overseas and had a summer league with the nets he just couldnt do it on defense. Had he not goten hurt he prob woulda been a solid player, not a top 3 pick. But a solid player
Adam Morrison was a beast for Gonzaga but yah dude was super weird. Especially when Gonzaga in the tournament and he was on the floor crying. Idk Morrison was definitely a bust but Morrison and Jimmer from BYU were both College Hoopers but never made it in the NBA.

To me the BIGGEST BUST has to be without a doubt Greg Oden drafted number #1 over Kevin Durant and basically never played a full season

Eh he was injured. Oden was very good when he wasnt hurt. And would have been amazing if he stayed healthy. So i dont think oden was the biggest bust

hate callilng anyone who makes the NBA a bust and especially if it was due to injury that derailed their career
@rotulezidane7564

true biggest bust is anthony bennett. No injuries, he was in a garbage ass team and did not manage to get over 4 points in his rookie season. Out of the league in four years. Oden still had a contract in 2013 despite not playing since 2009 because he was genuinely good.

@@rotulezidane7564 I agree with your Anthony Bennett choice but to go overall number #1 you have to show more substance in your body of work. Not to mention injuries are a part of EVERY sport. So I cannot give someone a pass due to injury.

@@TheNBAWhiteGuy bruh you say you know basketball well so do I. Basketball has been a huge part of my life since I was 5. INJURIES are a part of the game/sport.
I don't believe adam morrison was a bust. His nba career was destroyed deliberately bcoz he was a great white player. He is like the same with mahmoud abdul rauf. They are very deadly shooters but in the NBA their careers were deliberately destroyed. If u believe in NBA BS that morrison is a bad player, thats u. Adam morrison is not a bust. Charlotte hornets is the BUST. if charlotte built a team around a great shooter like morrison, they wud have had great playoff runs like the pacers with reggie miller as their focal point on offense. Charlotte hornets is the real BUST
