Also, does anyone else notice there's a lot of lines that Mike says that seems... Copied? Like they didn't have the voice actor add more lines, they just took one of the previous lines and copy, pasted onto another area in the game?

It’s been 6 years but I gotta say thank you, to you for uploading this and the other parts, I randomly thought of what happens when messing the QTE’s in this part up as a friend told me earlier Mike can only die at the Cabin, these videos really helped jn solving those thoughts quickly 😂

So, Mike can not die in the Sanatorium. But how does he survive this (1:03)? I've seen people say that Sam saves him, but you didn't include that moment in this video (if Sam really does save Mike). Could you please explain?

Sure thing; because Mike can't die until chapter 10, the Sanatorium segment is unfortunately very lazy. Every failure that ends the chapter, no matter where in the Sanatorium it happens, gives the same result in which Sam rescues Mike. Instead of the scene in which Sam is going through the mines, and Mike bursts through the door and bars it with his shotgun, you get an extra scene in which Sam goes through that door and then walks across the Sanatorium grounds. She goes into the Sanatorium, hits the wendigo with a shovel, and she and Mike run from the Sanatorium and Mike shoots the explosives to blow it up. If you search 'Until Dawn Sam saves Mike' the first video that comes up for me is 'UNTIL DAWN - Sam Rescued Mike / All Versions' by GamesTV. If you skip into about 3:53, you can see a version of the scene where Sam rescues Mike; they're all the same no matter where you fail the QTE.

I don't think so; although Wolfie should live in this particular set of events, I'm pretty certain you don't get the trophy unless you actually get to the scene where Mike tells Wolfie he'll see him on the other side. I don't remember ever seeing the trophy pop in any other scenario, but then again I had the trophy before I recorded this video, so if it did pop here I wouldn't have seen it. I highly doubt it would, though.

So does the wolf technically live in this one or did it magically die?

With this sequence of events the wolf is fine and just ran ahead of Mike through the door to the left. At least the wolf can pick a door, unlike Mike. ;)

TesseractHeart So if someone wants to speedrun this game (Don't know why you would, but OK) without anything dying (Minus the things that have to die), this would probably be the way to do it.

It'd definitely be an option! I think that it'd probably be faster though to kick the wolf early on so it doesn't follow you at all, since there are some wolf-related cut scenes that would likely make a speedrun with the wolf longer than one without (and you never see the wolf die if it doesn't come with you either.)

Yep, it's totally fine. In the scene where it shows up to help Mike later on, if you've kicked it it instead shows up only to storm off and not help when it sees Mike.
