@@christinebrument6851 Oh, I dunno. They wanted to flip their hair, look pretty, and be terribly, terribly clever on camera. Imagine them getting together to watch this episode with drinks and little nibblies at hand. They're certain they'll be the envy of all the sorority "friends" who weren't in the wedding party. Then, they see their entitlement, snarkiness, and lack of respect for the Kleinfeld consultants' time in concentrated form, thanks to good editing and clips of the employees' comments. I'll bet they quit bragging about their Kleinfeld experience forthwith. I also suspect they complained about _SYTTD_ "making them look bad." Well, maybe not all of them. Just the mouthiest pair.

I understand why a salesperson would be annoyed by a nonserious appointment. At the same time, no one is obligated to buy anything from a store. You can go to an auto dealership and test drive a car without buying one. But if it is a nonserious appointment, the consultant should make sure it ends on time so the next person doesn't have to wait.

No you lose future sales that way. When she is more serious about buying a dress or her friends want to buy a dress on a few years time, you want them to think positively about the store. I remember just out of high school and my friends and I wanted to try on formal dresses just to see what they looked like, because we were becoming young women and trying to find our adulthood and adult bodies. We didn't need an appointment or anything as you just take the dresses off the rack. Anyway, some of them were a bit OTT and we started laughing and the consultant went berserk at us, demanded to know what event we were going to and took all the dresses from us. Well when I needed a dress later that year and the next year I didn't go there because she was so confrontational and neither did my friends. The store has closed down. She just had to get involved nicely and then we would have felt pressure to buy and left.

Why not just ask the bride if she has any intention of buying a gown today....privately while in the dressing room. All the red flags were there--walk in with no appointment, no adults present, no one being serious. Sure, she can lie....but when she knows that they know she is playing dress up, likely it will end quickly. My guess is that they are just hoping to turn it into a sale.

Don't forget, this is "Reality" TV... where everything is scripted and nothing is "real". The sorority girls were there because they were invited on the show to showcase this particular issue. No doubt there are many appointments booked just for the fun of the experience without intent to purchase. This is a way to show the viewing audience that it is not appreciated by store management or the consultants... and provides drama for the show.

2 things that are annoying and concerning: 1. When the bride and their entourage waste the consultant’s time by playing dress-up. And 2. When the bride relies so much on the fiancé’s opinion that they have no independence or confidence in their guy loving them in anything they wear on the wedding day.

I don’t get it, why can’t the bride continue to look at dresses, she may well change her mind and buy a second dress

The consultants on this show don't like it when you don't tell them you have another dress in mind. It denies them the opportunity to backhandedly trash the other dress to get the sale.

I'm not at all "girly". Not _at all_ "bridal/wedding" oriented. I have _no_ idea why i started watching SYTTD. Seriously, if my viewing history ever ended up in court, anybody who has said more than two words to me would swear by all they hold Holy that either the cops had the wrong laptop or i got hacked. That being said: Part of me totally resents those spoiled brats taking up time, effort & resources to interfere with someone's *_job_* because _they_ thought it was ... _"cute"_ or fun or "it didn't hurt anybody". *_Yes,_*_ Felicia, it _*_did_*_ hurt somebody._ That consultant ran her butt off for you, wracked her brains for you, backburnered _serious_ customers for you. How bloody oblivious can someone be? My bet is none of those _girls_ has ever really worked for a living where if they didn't bring the bacon Home, they didn't eat. _On the other hand,_ they wanted a fun afternoon with their favorite people. They had a _great_ time. And part of that is because of the consultant. Who didn't make a dime off what she did for them. So maybe the Store needs an ... _"alternative"_ appointment. The group schedules a Dress Up Party. Given a _finite_ *scheduled* appointment: it starts at N o'clock & ends at P 'clock *period.t* Those appointments are made in normally slow, non-peak hours. There is a nonrefundable scheduling fee, due when the appointment is made. *_And_* a "per hour" rate as well. Say $500 an hour. But to _that_ group of _girls_ [not "women". Certainly not _"ladies"!]_ i have one Deeply Southern thing to say -- especially to the blonde in the white-&-red shirt, *_"Bless your hearts!"_*

This is distressing and obscene! It happens, too often. I once watched a video of a prominent internet family with multiple adopted and bio kids, show up here, and film the experience, knowing that everything the fiancé was beyond her budget. I was so disgusted that I never watched them again. I've worked in retail in the past, and I know that not everyone is going to buy something. But knowing the time involved for the staff, who could be helping someone serious instead, is just pure disrespect and bad manners.

What does it matter if the kids were adopted or bio? Why don't you just say multiple kids?

@justme..... Because their videos emphasize this fact, on the regular. On a personal level, I have many cousins, recently passed Great Aunties, Great Uncles, and an Uncle. We never thought about it while growing up. We will always be family. Our family was and still is full of love. War sometimes results in blended and adopted families. That was the case on both sides of my family. My husband's family is big, on its own. It seems like every other year, we have a new nibling or great-nibling. Our home is frequently filled with cousins and niblings, just like I want. We're just family. I think that's why I found those videos so disturbing.
