Unseen Wild: April Nights at the Spring Pond- Bears, Mountain Lions and more
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Relax. Take a quiet moment by the spring pond, letting nature’s quiet nights seep in. The stealthy mountain lion stalks past, intent on something unseen, the bear mother leads her cubs to water, foraging fresh spring grass, biding her time until there is more food to be had. A solitary black bear roams through, takes a quick dip, and relaxes for a bit. Bats swoop low, feeding on mosquitos, and busy skunks are always on the move.

It really is popular with certain animals!
This is amazing! I’ve never seen bears mowing down on the grass like that. Thanks for sharing these.

Like a herd of cows! Turns out grass is a staple food source for 🐻 this time of year.

@@flyinghorsedrone5376I know how it goes! Never enough time in a day. 😊
Does your trail camera display the date and time? I think you should include that in the vid. Thanks for sharing

It does, and I go back and forth about including that. For now, for the animals safety I’ve made the decision not to include it. Thanks for watching! 😊
Do you think the bear is hanging out in case dinner walk by?

This time of year dinner is pretty much just grass and bugs. 🐻
Is that a brown bear and a black bear?

They are all "black bears" technically, but the momma bear is brown with two black colored cubs, and there is a solitary bear that is black with a white v on its chest.

@@IrisGardner I see. The cubs look pretty big. Do they stay with their mother over winter? Do black bears even hibernate?
@IrisGardner

The cubs typically stay with their mother for two years. This is these cubs second year. They do hibernate, though it is not always a deep hibernation (torpor) and they can wake up if needed.
I refuse to believe bears can't be domesticated, they are dogs at heart just fatter in reality

Haha, don’t tempt me. I’d take one of those babies in in a heartbeat. 😆🐻❤️
