It continues to get harder and harder as we age as caregivers. I cannot handle the level of stress that I did 30 years ago and yet here it is.

ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON!!!! PTSD; YOU CAN'T KNOW IT TILL YOU LIVE IT; ISOLATION; HYPER VIGILANCE; LOSS OF SELF; AND EXTREME EXHAUSTION, DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY! WE NEED MORE OF US TO ARMY SOLUTIONS ON SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN THE PLATFORMS THAT WE ARE EITHER USE TO, OR COUNTING ON! MORE INNOVATIVE RESOURCES AND OUT OF THE BOX THINKING!

Thank you for making this incredible documentary and giving caregivers everywhere a voice to be heard. You really don't realize just how difficult it is until you hear it from other parents.

Felt this all the way to my soul. I am in my 50s and since my late 40s have been the sometime caregiver for my disabled sister (our dad is AWOL and our mother deceased). No help whatsoever from even extended family. No support at all or even a check-in by government. Our mother did this for decades and I'm convinced she smoked herself to death to get a reprieve. It hurts.

This is spot on and as a caregiver I never realized the day in the life until I lived it. Would love to connect.

Yep. 22 years for me so far ... and at 21 all the pediatric supports dropped off. As I get older my biggest fear is what if I can't do this anymore? There are only 2 ways this is going to end - 1 - I will outlive my daughter, or 2 - I will become incapable of her care or die and she will.... uhh... actually there does not seem to be an answer to that. She needs hospital level care. No answer.
