    For anyone else who had the problem of the skeleton not showing up when retargeting, make sure to also set the mannequin's skeleton to humanoid.

    Sr I can't do face capture in unreal. You need an iphone for that and I don't have one.

    my skeleton didnt show up.... idk what to do. I clicked on the skeleton just like the video but mine looks different. The jump cuts are also difficult to understand where to find the things mentioned in the video. Im very confused edit: i got it to show up but i dont understand where the mannequin folder came from

    hi thanks for the tutorial! the walkthrough was very useful. from my engine I had difficulty retargeting animations from the vroid model's skeleton to unreal's default skeleton (unreal showed that the 2 skeletons were incompatible). any ideas?

    maybe the sceletons aren´t set as humanoid? Your models and the unreal Mannequin

I've tried again and seemed the skeletons are not aligning automatically because skeletal mesh topology was different --- this tut was helpful kzread.info/dash/bejne/qq1tw66biq_KlaQ.html (around minute 2), where I made 2 rigs (one for the vrm character and one for the skeleton) before retargeting the skeleton

    So hey I got a problem if i place a character in the world the head is normal but the skin is red do you know a fix ? I really want to use the the mtoon Option and I know it’s causing the issue I still want to use it

    IT is a Model made in vroid Studio? Check the Stader options there bevor KZread Export the Model. Is shading of or wich color is the shading and how stong

    sorry,i made the new man mannequin animations(in blender) ,and retarget to vrm , but the animations hands have dislocation ,do you know why? (my english isnt good,sorry)

    there are a few thinks that could make this problems. eg. the bones are wrongly assigned (the names are not matching) or it could be an problem wit the Wight painting.

    You can animate in any 3d software you like e.g.Blender or download/buy them from sides like Mixamo

    well none of those links work for me anymore so tough outta luck find it so amazing hard to get this figures into unreal engine --edit-- if you click on the github link provided in this video instead of going through the site it works I went through the site and none of the links worked

    hello! a year late but thanks! Is this valid for UE5? now the plugin is activated from the engine itself, is it possible to use this system with the possibility of the player changing clothes? thx for this tutorial!! EDIT: I tried to contact you :D

    There is a version for UE 5 yes, i don´t know if there is a working one for 5.1. If you can work with Blueprints or c++ you can program something like this. But i won´t recommend using the plug in when you want to make a game. There are some problems with the export to an .exe with it. If you are the one who wants use the unreal engine to convert a model to a v_tuber or Vr.chat, there is no way cou can do it with unreal. You better use Unity there are plenty of plugins extra vor this purpose.

    Each time what I restart after to enabled VRM4U it display "The fllowing modules are missing or built with a different engine version: VRM4U VRM4ULoader VRM4UImporter VRM4UEditor VRM4UMisc Would You like to rebuild them now?" and it's every time. And after to click on yes it display "(name of project) could not be compiled. Try rebuilding from source manually." every time

    looks like you got the wrong version. You have to download the right version fitting to your project. e.g. the vrmu4 4.26 don´t work in a 4.27 project. or you don´t put the plugin in the right folder.

    after clicking skeleton the setup rig for humanoid cannot detect and need to save the skeleton but i save it many times why it didn't work?

    do you Talk about the Import at the start? You have to Import the rigg of your Modell first. Not override it to the Mannequin you do this later. If you have trouble to retarget the skeletons you probably hard done a mistake by conekting the right joints of your rigg to the mannequin rigg.

    Yes with the most Material Types this happends. Use the PBR(gITP2) option for your Imports so you will get a normal working shader

    I put the folder in the project folder, is it the case I have to create a folder named plugin, then drag the file that I just unziped in the plugin folder as well? so like, there's a plugin folder within a plugin folder? I get an error message and I can't even open the project

    so i get them in 4.26 but i had issues with 5. so i loaded them in 4.26. now how do i get them in 5.0? when i try to copy the folder with the assets in it the materials stay blank

    It would not work in UE5. You have to wait unrila a new Plugin for the Unreal Engine 5 is made. If you want to import your model into this version you have to import it as fbx. There is a plugin for blender (cats) it can convert the files and also you can edit the model there.

    @@VanumChan i have my character in ue 4.26 so can i export it with textures somehow as fbx? like i see the mesh but the materials are empty. also theres a plugin version for ue5 but it seems to crash for me

    ​@@Kiba114 i don´t testet the plugin for the UE5 at the moment, so i cant help you now. I try to look into it on the weekend. For exporting you model from unreal, i also tested it and i sadly have to say that unreal is not good in eporting the files into an fab file. the geometry is there but the rest has errors. (the rig is messed up, matrerilas are not asinged, uvs can get destrois etc.) you better use blender + the cats plug in for converting your model. Both are free and there is a good guide on the plug in webside.

    Are you sure you Hit the bones right and the right Pose of the model. Smal differents can bracke the remap.

    @@thomasd19587 wen du andere Animationen möchtest musst du diese selbst erstellen oder andersweitig erwerben. Diese kannst du dann mit in die Animation blueprint einfügen oder gegen eine bestehende austauschen.
