  • @3DTudor

    @3DTudor

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Loh, If you worked on a blender sequencer then you will have less trouble integrating yourself onto UE5 one, it will even help you to work with any video editing software as they also use sequencers. Within the industry, it all depends on the team's work pipeline and what it wants to get out of the software, some people set everything up in UE5 and only use Blender for 3D modelling. Others, do everything in blender including animations, renders, and even video edits... I'd recommend you trying methods in both software and seeing whichever suits you as in the end no one will care what you used to achieve results as long as the end product is good. Hope this helps :)

    Hello there.. Question: I have a sequence with a few cameras. Two of the three were parented under a generic actor (null object, as in your video). One was seen by the Render Queue, one was not. Is this a common bug in UE, or could I be doing something wrong? I had to delete the set-up and recreate it for it to work, but I encountered this twice today. Thank you!

    Hi Keith, I'm not sure I understand, but I'm assuming that you are not seeing cameras in your sequencer. if that's the case you can drag and drop cameras directly onto your sequencer, make sure to scroll all the way to its top where other camera footage is and you should be able to add other cameras that way. Hope this helps :)

    hi! could you help me plz? Whenever you try to animate in the sequencer and set a negative rotation or go beyond 360 it stops with the scrolling option and you have to enter it manually. Most of the time I need to rotate something by looking beyond or before those points and get it to align manually. However Unreal doesn't allow it, is there some setting to change this so that these values in the sequencer go in - like -200 and beyond 360 like 560 with the manual scroll enabled?

  • @3DTudor

    Within the sequencer itself, you can type in the values manually and go beyond the simple values of 360. You just need to make sure you expand the transform tab fully until you see core values like 'yaw'.

    There might be another frame saved out that's overlaying on top of the one you are trying to make, if you are adjusting the location of a frame, you have to make sure you are set within exactly the frame you are trying to adjust the frame at. My recommendation is to use arrows (next to frame button) to position yourself in the right spot.

    Question: Do you know how to create sub-levels so the Environment is in one sub-level, the characters are in a separate sub-level, camera's are in a another sublevel and the lights are in a different sub- level? This way the level building crew does not interfere with the animators, camera guys and lighters? The lighter will work in their level. Animators will work in their level and so on without disturbing the other departments.

  • @3DTudor

    Hi, for a shared project you would have to simply export out parts of level and import it to one project to stitch it up... not sure if there is a better way with the new UE5 atm...

  • @americanbigbig

    @americanbigbig

    Жыл бұрын

    Are you working on a project thats doing large sets or scenes? You could try to play around with the UE5 open world template. There is a process in that template called "one file per actor" which works to basically check each individual actor out so that you can have concurrent development with multiple users in the same space.

  • @3DTudor

    Hi purple, sometimes you need more control over a camera, and so I find it a little easier to get the nicer composition of a render this way, especially when it has rotation and you want the composition of your main object to move from the centre of your view to the side within one shot. Hope this answers your question :)

    Odds are that the level sequencer already has a position key frame within itself for the camera. When you try to move it, it snaps back to what it was within that time frame. To have a new position within that time frame, make sure you move time-frame first, then move camera to desired position, then add new key-frame. This should give the desired results, hopefully :)

    @@3DTudor auto play tested, not working, but honestly when you work with cinematics that happen during play, you should not use auto play at all.

    why is everything in UE5 so dedgum difficult when compared to so many other programs which accomplish the same things?? So much is involved in a simple animation...you would think it might be a little more user friendly, but it makes certain things intentionally more difficult.

    sorry, I didn't realize I already made a similar comment....I'm just stuck on how ridiculously involved every little function is in UE5...I've come out of AutoCAD and Revit and the transition to Unreal has been a challenge. I'm getting it done, but it is a headache and a half. The worst part of it all, is that my employer purchased the videos of "private training" and there is very little explained in any laymen's terms or any explanation for the use of the details, outliner, content browser, importing, exporting, level sequencer, animation, having motion and movement in a level sequence And certainly no instruction on rendering a level sequence. If not for your videos and others' that are better instructional tools, I would have deleted UE5 weeks ago. Thanks for your help.

    Yeah, no worries. Learning curve sure is difficult, although, to their defense, they are trying to make it easier with the newer version making it easier to manipulate added animation keys with bars and such... It still is difficult though :D

    welp, this video is rendered useless too simply cuz they keep changing lil shits over and over again. aint no level sequencer in animation now FML and Epic simultaneously here we go onto another video crossing fingers that all its info is still viable smfh TNx regardless

    Level sequencer is still there, just looks differently visually. The video should still be useful :)
