a couple things I noticed that would make it even more realistic but I feel developers do not pay that much attention to: 1. there is no wind and the vegetation is not bouncing like it should, the static ambience is not realistic 2. the camera movements are too brutal or sudden, no human sight moves like that so it feels like it´s not a person behind the ´´camera´´; you can see that specially when the character is walking, check 3:53

The wind is what is often missing in these types of games. Ultra-realistic in the textures, certainly, but not at all representative of the constant movement that reality provides. Even when there is "no wind" strictly speaking, it still moves.

Back in the 80's, my boss said 'One day we'll have real-time photorealistic 3D computer generated video". We all laughed, working on out 486 PCs. Dammit. Now, about the only thing that reveals that this is computer-generated is the camera: it too smooth and mechanical. Could be shot from a drone, but there is no sound. And its too smooth an steady to be hand-held. It needs a breeze for that extra touch of realism. Incredible!!

The playable demo level is not the same, and you also have the Morning scene option. EDIT: never mind, I found a newer version (v2.0). Just please change the ArtStation link - artwork Id from "lRXGPz" to "g00QmQ" in the video description, so others can also check out the newer version.

Wow, almost all those environments are lifelike - with the exception of 2 and 7 where the textures were not as good/lifelike. Lighting was amazing in almost all. Huge progress on environments and the difference to life shows. On living beings, either they'll be too far away, like birds etc. or if they are near enough, like people, you can visibly tell, not so much from the textures, although them too, as much as the computerized movements. That torch, no-one moves a torch left and right when they walk or run, that woman, no woman walks like this, and people standing still take standing still too seriously. Movements could be made more realistic, it's not that difficult in our day and age, and they could add generated procedural variations, they don't even have to be always noticeable, so as something won't look a repeated computerized sequence. Maybe that's where UE could help in a later version? Even minor things can add up sometimes. Anyway, massive progress on UE.

Don’t think we’re going to get this as common stream in gaming till maybe 2030 - imagine playing games with these graphics this in a vr headset with large field of view ? Wow. Bring on PlayStation VR3 .

Beautiful surroundings. Only thing that bothers me is that trees and shrubbery is completely static. No movement at all. Also, the second segment (starting with the fireflies and church remnants) has micro-stutter, which on a larger monitor (37 inch) causes motion sickness in full-screen viewing.
