This music originally was my take for Azali event but at that time I had no motivation to finish it so this track never made into the event. It's pretty different from the original so I'm uploading this as an original song to KZread. I hope you enjoy!

To be unable to reach nothingness... well... that is quite the interesting thought. Wanting to tell yourself that life has no meaning, but every step of the way, you are denied that feeling. Every corner you turn, no matter how far you think humanity is depraved and beyond helpless, you see a glimmer of hope.

Makes me think this song could be adapted for an Amv of some sort where the protagonist is trying to be fully nihilistic but is comedically proven wrong and wrong again when his attempts at looking for negativity is either met or shown with positivity which makes it arguments seem weaker and eventually cracks and begins to feel good again.

Unreachable, unattainable, hopeless, and exhausting. Truthfully, there isn’t a reason to continue fighting it: fighting the inevitable end, fighting the inevitable defeat, or fighting the eventual loss. But there also isn’t a reason to stop either. If everything is pointless, if everything is useless, why should you stop? Why should you stop struggling in your final moments? Why should you accept it peacefully? Laugh in its face, spite it for being so true, make the most of the hopeless situation, since it’s something you’ll only experience once. Don’t let them get the satisfaction of seeing you fall into despair, even when you finally reach that moment you close your eyes eternally. If you don’t deserve to live, they don’t deserve to see you give up.

@@zero435 That is the thing, "optimistic nihilism" is not nihilism because nihilism is negative by definition. In fact it is closer to absurdism than actual nihilism. • @zero435

@@Ultra_DuDu yes i know optimistic nihilism isn't philosophical term and we don't need to be limited by terms, we can call that existential nihilism if you want they have pretty close meanings. there are many types of nihlisms not just one. you can be nihilist about one thing and not be a nihilist about other things such as being a morally nihilist believing that there are no morals it's all made up by humans but still believe that life has a meaning. we can still consider them nihilists, a nihilist doesn't have to be nihilist about all things at once, in fact it would be contradicting. you can't be in a position to defend that life has no meaning when you reject life itself in the first place. you can still be nihilist with different approaches. you can reject objective meaning and be nihilistic about it but can create your own subjective meaning. it doesn't make sense for me to say nihilism is negative, it's all about perception not definition of words or terms.

Unreachable Nihilism really reminded me of Omori. You probably know this game (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm making this assumption based on the thumbnail of Old Summer), this game has a lot of complex and interesting characters, and usually the boss battle is the climax, the moment were everything unfold and you learn more about them. A music providing strong feeling can enhance these important moment, and it makes them memorable. This is why I will never forget the battle against Aubrey, the music was so perfect to convey the feelings to the player ! When I was comparing your music to a boss theme, it was because Unreachable Nihilism feels very intense, and maybe "boss battle" was not the best way to say it, I was more meaning about a the "Climax of a story or a character". Though this is only my interpretation, I'm biased by the fact that I like to create small games and stories ^^ I also listened to some other musics you made, I really like what you do, I hope you'll keep sharing your projects on YT :)

@@zero435 You know when you mention it like that, I feel the parallel between your intention how it can relay to others as boss music, shows how people view negative feelings, problems and views as an evil to overcome, like an games final antagonist. Just an interesting way to look at it I think.

@@laby1827 yeah i know omori and the final battle's music was really impactful with the violins, aubrey battle was also pretty emotional with that distorted lofi electric guitar sound. i know you can't exactly tell what i want to express from the outside. it's a bit saddening for me that i cant convey my emotions directly through music but if you did find my music intense then i might succeded a bit about conveying my emotions. having your own interpretations isn't a bad thing, i do this a lot with art that i consume too and everyone else does that. we put different meanings that belongs to us which is amazing i think but it also has some downsides sometimes from an artist perspective as i mentioned. i wish we could live in a reality that we could directly understand an artist's perspective without ruining our own perspectives and meanings. it's one of the tiny little things i find flawed in existence. so without going any deeper i want to thank you for nice comments :) im glad you're enjoying my work, it doesn't matter how. i hope you have a great day!

How can one describe the "Unreachable Nihilism"? Like when you just cannot make yourself to not care?

  • @zero435

it's a personal story. im gonna explain it briefly tho it's not that simple. i hate life and i wish i was never born and this started like 5-6 years ago when i found out "nothingness" idea. many things in life happened to make me discover the ideas and beliefs i have but im not gonna explain them in this comment. everything in life lost meaning and value for me, i realized nothing is worth living with the bad and good. good things in life started to seem unnecessary and a fuel for pain loop. i started to desire to not exist strongly for a long time, i still desire it but i don't show a special effort to achieve it because i realized it's futile. what futile is trying to reach nihilism. what i mean by that is i have septic approach to after death, if we disappear after death i could achieve what i want: to not exist. but i believe in possibilities, not only religions, anything i can imagine can be real, which is pretty scary for me. so i was trying to believe and rationalize nihilism "we're born from nothing and we will be nothing after we die". but i couldn't reach it and found out how dumb and futile effort im in, my beliefs didn't change no matter how i tried. and finally this song is about this effort i put into to try to reach nihilism but couldn't.

Look up Kurzesagt's video on Optimistic Nihilism; nothing matters at all, and all we'll ever know is this life, so the only thing that could ever matter is how this life feels. I choose to make this life pleasant, and to help others have the same. Basically, Nihilism changes nothing; we still will only experience this life, so we still should be invested in it, as it's all we'll ever have. I urge you to try to make your existence pleasant somehow-- it's all you'll ever know, isn't it?

@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 it's hard to explain it all in one or two comments with my non native language english. it's impossible for me to make my existence pleasant while i find this existence dreadful out of my control, all i can do is try to reduce pain which is my goal since im forced to live. what you stated is an perspective, a belief so not everyone thinks that way. people can still believe that all we'll ever know is not only this life or believe that life has a specific meaning and everything matters, just for example there are many religious people out there and people can rationalize their belief with valid methods. so what i mean what you said isn't a generally valid/objective statement it's just an opinion open to debate. same goes for nihilism it's a belief and perspective so it changes everything, for example i believe in god and hate them even tho im skeptical about their existence but their existence is more likely to me (basically agnostic theism with a misotheistic approach) and if i were a true nihilist without doubts, i would be free from god and dont't believe it. it would change how i live completely. if i were a nihilist i wouldn't be optimistic nihilist or absurdist because why would i strive for no reason if nothing matters? if we're gonna disappear? if anything doesn't have any meaning? why would i still continue this thing called life i despise so much and nothing good in life doesn't mean anything for me? i can just die and be nothing forever. assuming if i were a nihilist, optimistic nihilism or absurdism wouldn't work for my case, i can see why it works for some people because they have some sort of connection with life and enjoy some stuff in life which is totally valid even if they reject everything and think that nothing in life matters and has no meaning.

To search for nothing is to search for something. To not search is to find what already is. To defy it all is to find yourself within it. What truly matters? Anything? Everything? Then you recall that you aren't a slave created to achieve a goal. You just are. What matters is not predetermined. That means you can live to your heart's content. So then, the question changes. What matters to YOU?
