I honestly couldn't believe this. Fanchen came out of nowhere to the KZread sphere from some random conversation in the comment section. Then he played Rush E perfectly and amazed everyone. He did, but I don't feel he played this song. He covered it well... He hit all the notes, but was focused so hard on the big parts, there's no emotion or feeling in it. He is leagues above the rest, but I just feel repetition. I have played both in my headset with eyes closed the original and this are completely different, one is full of emotion and dense, the other is empty and rushed. The feeling isn't there, it's a wonderful forced copy, but it is lacking, it's missing.

Can I just say..... I'm not sure how to explain it well but I'll try to convey the feeling as best I can... every piano rendition of this song I've ever heard always felt like I was just hearing the lyrics through the notes, but this is the first time EVER, actually hearing just *music*! Just the music! Like an actual, stand-alone piece of music! I don't really know how to explain it in better words than this but my God I felt it!!

If you learn to play piano well, you think of it as speaking. Phrasing out sentences etc. Also, conveying your emotions or what you want your listener to hear when you play. Fanchen, is quite good at expressing emotions and phrasing the notes. This is most likely what you are feeling. It is also what differentiates a good pianist from a mediocre pianist.

I personally don’t like the excessive speed, because the pacing isn’t consistent and animenz version is much more fluent, no breakages. Fanchen is amazing and obvs it’s animenz arrangement so I would expect him to play better. But I just prefer animenz version

I always love Piano versions of Unravel, it reminds of the Acoustic version a lot. Whenever I see an unravel attempt, I usually judge it not by "the wall" or the super fast arpeggios and tremolo sections, but rather if they're able to maintain enough stamina to do 2:32 properly, and you actually did it. Very good performance, if not one of the cleanest performances I've seen in a while. How long did you spend on this piece?

Playing the arpeggios at 2:18 with both hands was a good choice. Animenz plays them with just his right hand which is absolutely mindblowing

I'm so happy that you have confidence in your ability, to not only show others how 'The One, You Are' but to have such passion. Oh that is also one of my personal favorite too! A little history, I learnt a portion of it 7 years ago, but ran out of time before the end of summer. I’ll definitely think about relearning it after all these years! Haha

For some reason, this op and anime in general is so heartwarming to me. Which is insane given what Tokyo Ghoul is but it holds a special place in my heart along with few others. Thank you for this.

Really really good. One of the best I've heard. It isn't as good as animenz original which doesn't mean anything because his one is just unbelievable but still extremely impressive. The bar is set incredibly high and you managed to reach it. Really nice😁✌️

Wow that was beautiful and amazing. Your fingers move so fast on the keys I can't keep up with them when I see the video! Nice soothing sound especially when you close your eyes to listen .

That was an amazing performance, I'm absolutely getting goosebumps at the chorus parts. I wish I'd get to play like you, but I'm afraid it'll be very hard. Thanks for the motivation :D

Fun Fact: If you overlay this with the conversation he had, it fits.

Just as good as Animenz, just beautiful.

Maybe Fanchen will reveal that he's actually a half ghoul and then proceed to use his kagune while performing a masterpiece.

I almost always watch videos at 1.5+x speed and whenever I watch a vid from your channel I have to double take. You're an impressive boy. Don't let that get to your head and you'll go farther than even you imagine possible.
