Wonderful interview...hope you have him back again.
Truly inspiring in today’s investment world
Great interview for the regular guy, thank you
Your sketch makes, Tom look like like a young old man 😂. I have a similar upbringing, my dad took me to many of his investor meetings, and as I got older it became a thing for us to do before his passing. My pops was a long distance hauler in his younger days, but had couple hauling businesses, throughout NY, Florida, and Nee Mexico. That being said, we would take some hauls, my dad would say it’s learning the difference working hard and smart. Anyway, Tom, is humble, and I could see that from the start of his interview, I have watched him on googles platforms, and others, I think his strategy is just as good as anyones and he can offer great information.
Excellent interview! Thank you!
Very good conversation. I got a lot of good insights from it. Congrats
...the questions were great too. Overall his head is in the right place i liked Tom... and i liked the diversification question. I also disbelieve in index investing vs good stock picking.
Thank you guys. Great episode

Amazing!
Does Markel offer internships?
great!
Wow another podcast before this one tipped me off to markel, I think it was a pick on one of the masterminds. Either way I missed this interview and I can’t believe it, better late than ever. Bought the dip 2020 and haven’t looked back

Glad it was valuable to you, Colin!
great interview although I don't agree with his views on ebitda, i think for investors, ebitda is no good, better to highlight the costs / depreciation etc in the 10k instead. Also thinking like an investor again you want to get the entire picture of debt to earnings, u dont want to ommit anything out of the balance sheet. Ebitda is garbage!
