I’ve been following this game for a few months. To see it turn out well is an absolutely fantastic thing. With how much Metal Gear I have on deck and my undying love for running through Ghost Babel like it’s a Sonic game, UnMetal will definitely be a mainstay for me just like the series it’s based on. :)

I havent played the original metal gear series but I have jumped in the solid series back in 1997 or 1998, I wouldnt mind jumping into this! I may wait for my switch OLED so I can play this portable/on the go, great review! If Ole Gamer Joe finds it funny and fun, I know I will as well!

I really like the style of these reviews!! I have a request/tip. Your really should make Top 10 lists. It's a great way to discover new interesting games. It's also a great way for your channel to get more subscribers. Most people search for "Best" and "Top 10" to find good games. "The Dice Tower", the biggest board game channel on youtube, their most watched videos are the Top 10 lists. Therefore they release new top 10's all the time with different categories. I always watch those. And if I see an interesting game, I watch their entire review of it.

Perfect! If you loved those games and want an added sense of humor this will be for you.

Despite its humour, I’ll probably be passing on this one and watching someone play it instead. Even with difficulty options, I’m just not good at these sorts of games and I feel I’d get frustrated. But it looks great for those who like these sorts of games. Thanks for the review.

Motn is 2d, and has platforming and stealth elements. No real similarity other than they both are stealth games.

The gameplay is absolutely solid. The problem is the humor. It'll make you laugh once in awhile, but for the most part it's so profoundly unfunny that it nearly ruins the experience.

​@@IDreamofIndie It constantly interrupts you with the same exact joke delivered in the previous chapters. By the middle of the game it was like .... ugh , here comes some more text boxes so the game can hammer into your brain that its a silly parody.

Maybe if it wasn't just making fun of metal gear I'd be interested. Why can't we just get a serious homage?

We've had lots of metal gear and splinter cell games over the years that take themselves seriously. I found it refreshing to have a comedic take.
