Ive seen multiple times American movies are so incredibly wrong about how much certain Jobs usually make, its crazy as a European i just think they are totally delusional not knowing anything about the job and sometimes its frustrating as hell. Its no reason to use a specific Job when it has no impact on the movie, they can use ANY job....

@MiniM69 There are a whole bunch of "rabbinical students" in their 30s and 40s who live in subsidized rent-controlled housing in Brooklyn because they technically make no money and qualify on account of being "low-income students" but actually work off the books for their families in the Diamond District and nobody in the government dares audit or investigate them because, well, ya know. But those are hardcore Orthodox dudes with wives and 10 kids, not secular lapsed Jews like Ben.

Man I watched this almost 2 years ago and its still good 💯
the pickle cart could actually blow up like that
Like most stories, this movie has some obvious plot holes that can be ignored for greater meaning. My interpretation of this movie (based solely on the recap) is that it's condemning how our differences divide us. In the movie, and in real life, we all face our own struggles but are bound together by our humanity. But despite however many similarities we have, we're quick to turn on each other for our differences. We would all be much better off if we strove to understand and support each other, rather than tearing each other down... but that's often easier said than done.
1:23 payback 😂
Im only halfway through but this made me think what if we had the chance to meet our great great grand parents and how it would be..

his pickles sounds like a botulism breeding ground
Of course only seth r can come with idea on this
AKA, Seths in the City
Kind of refreshing to see a movie that realistically depicts how even just a normal person from long ago would have what today's people would consider very backwards and offensive views if they were suddenly transported to the modern era and would have a hard time adjusting to the culture shock of things like racial equality and LGBT acceptance. Somehow a man who was preserved in a vat of pickles is more believable than Captain America in that regard.
