This is one of their most poppy songs, unsurprisingly since it is for an anime. You might also like some of their more metal songs like "Unending Sorceress" and "Black Pentagram" (preferably live) or their more proggy stuff like "Cadaver/Redavac" and "Dignity of Spirit"

I agree, live is always better when that is an option, only exception for me is Cadaver/Revadac, I always suggest the MV with the sheet music and never tell the twist about it, I think it is more fun to see the reaction when they realize what happened

If you like violin and hard-rock/metal, you should really check out the Japanese band East Of Eden. It’s a brand new band but with already established musicians from the Japanese music scene. They only released 2 songs “Evolve” and “This Moment”. I’m sure you and your wife would enjoy them.

The song Unending Sorceress is about Edea from Final Fantasy 8 which is Shiren's favorite video game

if you like this, you will probably love East of Edens "Evolve". they are a female supergroup with a violinist. "evolve" has the potential to become song of the year.

Unlucky Morpheus is an amazing band, and I also prefer female voices in Metal.

You should check out lightbringer fuki's earlier band that's just as good as UM.
