Worth mentioning one of the issues that causes the fluid coupling to fail is tyres with different tread depths.

K series engine is a KILL series engine!!!

iv had two of these. first one suffered a head gasket and the second i had to remove the coupling. i loved the hippos. its a shame this one only lasted a few more years looking at the mot status.

Sorry but I've always detested the series 1 Freelander the biggest thing for me was the stupid Intermediate Reduction Drive which slowed the rear wheels in relation to the front like 1.00-0.98 or some such figure and they chewed themselves up from day one and were a bloody fortune to fix. Land Rover sensibly got rid of it completely in the Freelander 2 which I think was a good car. It was only killed off to make production line space for the Range Rover Evoque. Another model I hate lol

Its funny that Paul masks up the freelander bumbers which are actually worse than the bodywork he's repairing 😂

Couldn't agree more. I had a Rangie. Worst car I've ever had. A mate had a Defender which chewed out the clutch throw out. Twice. And what a pr*ck of a job that was!!!

I still can't understand the rationale of putting the advert up before all of the work, and using pictures which don't represent the final car. Why do this??

Agree, but the whole series, whilst sort of enjoyable, is made up for TV stuff with the usual false jeopardy deadlines. They make their money from the production company paying them, not from the tiny profits they sometimes appear to make. Watch Bangers and Cash is you want genuine TV.

My thoughts exactly , a huge whiff of Car S.O.(fake) S. with this , but still more watchable than a lot of other things out there .
