Unlocking the New Testament Part 32 - Jude

David Pawson says the little neglected letter of Jude is wonderful. He reads his own paraphrase and shows that it divides into 2: a dangerous corruption and how to deal with it. David says that Jude (a brother of Jesus) is like a surgeon ‘wielding a knife to cut out the cancer in the Body of Christ.’ All churches are in danger, either from outside - which pushes Christians together and strengthens them; or from inside - being either legalistic or too liberal which can destroy the Body of Christ. Legalism says: you are not free to sin and we’re going to see that you don’t. License says: you are free to sin and it’s okay now you’re a Christian. True liberty says: in the Spirit, you are free not to sin. David says that we are constantly hearing a sentimental view of God being preached on TV and it’s not a true picture of God. Their other problem was regarding Jesus as only one way to God rather than the way. David says when your creed is corrupted, your conduct will be too; when your conduct is corrupted, your character and conversation will be too. He hopes the little letter of Jude will encourage you to contend for the Gospel in truth and love.

    I'm from South Africa and I must be honest I've become so addicted to listening to these teachings almost everyday. They've opened my mind and have brought me clear understanding of God's will for our lives. I so wish sometimes our churches could just give us the truth and stop entertaining us with lies which lead us to destruction and evil ways, I hope I don't sound too self-righteous here though. God is still God, Jesus is still our only Saviour from God our Father and the Holy Spirit our only Advocate and we praise God for all that. Amen

    Thank God, thank David Pawson, thank the Internet, thank KZread, thank the uploader! How could I (an Asian living opposite the earth)possibly be able to listen to him teach without the combination of them? Am so blessed hearing him teach this series. And all this for free! So easily! Am so shocked, though, to see how few find this. Truly the path to life is narrow.

    Yes, it is truly amazing that we live in a time where you in Asia can watch these videos. However, get ready for the Christian persecution that is coming and has already arrived here in the US. Every day KZread and the other tech giants are censoring more and more Christian content. It's only a matter of time before Pawson and other preachers who boldly speak the truth are completely censored.

    I too was warned twice by youtube due to my vids on Covid. They never allow opposite views against mainstream media. They forcefully close youtube channels without prior notice when they find that anyone showed doubts about vaccines or social distancing or anything like that.

    24:13 Check that out! Back then (how many decades ago was this filmed?) it was considered prejudice to say anything against homosexuality. And here we are today 2021 and if anything, satanic forces have taken such a strong stance on that premise and they work through the alphabet community to silence individuals or even cancel them and their business interests out entirely. It is fascinating sometimes to sit and ponder the forces of evil we are contending against as God's people. And hence the need all the more to make sure we are wearing God's armor to stand strong every day so that we may continue to do the work of Jesus.

    @@jaayswizzle David suggested people read the book for historic reference but, because it is not the word of God, its not necessarily all correct /true. It is also believe that the book of Enoch was written 2-300years BC - that was many years after Enoch walked on this earth, so again has uncertain accuracy. It is mentioned in the Book of Jude but never spoken of or quoted as 'Scripture' by the Apostles nor Jesus, There are many such 'historic' books, that are not considered ''the word of God''.

    HI - NIV - New International Version 1984, which David believes is one of the most accurate translations available. David was also an advocate of the KJV, but stopped using it for public reading or recommending it to his congregation because one needs to have a good understanding of medieval English and how words have changed meaning since the 1600's.eg to day we all understand the word 'prevent' means to stop ....in 1600's prevent means pre-event ie to predict, 'peculiar' today means weird but in 1600's it means set apart - ie Gods peculiar people - people set apart for God ...... cattle today means cows, but in 1600's the word means movable assets which can include horses, sheep, goats etc Awful ......in 1600's means worthy of awe and Incontinent? (2 Tim3.3) means - unrestrained ‘false accusers, incontinent, fierce..’ In around 1996 the publisher of the NIV introduced an "inclusive language/gender neutral' version but it was never released in USA because of opposition. After much complaint, in about 2011 the publishers discontinued "inclusive language" and reverted back to something closer to the 1984 translation If you have a copy or are thinking of purchasing a copy, please be aware of this and I suggest purchase something dated post 2011

    David, unfortunately keeps spreading the heresy that the Virgin Mary was not perpetually a Virgin. All the early church fathers knew Mary was not only perpetually a Virgin but immaculately conceived.

  • @jaysplaylists189

    @jaysplaylists189

    Жыл бұрын

    The Catholic doctrine of the immaculate conception and the eternal virginity of Mary is not supported by Scripture. There is no evidence in the Bible that Mary was immaculately conceived, neither does Scripture support that she was a virgin her whole life. The Bible is clear that Mary and Joseph had sex (see Matthew 1:25) and other children (see Matt. 12:46; 13:55; Mark 6:3; John 2:12; 7:3, 5, 10; Acts 1:14; 1 Cor. 9:5; Gal. 1:19). It's not about what men knew or said, but what the Bible says. For the believer in Christ, Scripture is final.
