I hope that Rose Red gets a blu ray release and a digital release someday because it is an underappreciated horror movie and this fake documentary is one of my favorite documentaries!

Most of the interiors were a movie set and nowadays they don't exist. The exteriors were filmed using Thornewood Castle.

​@lovelybones8179 even if rose red was real, she was still demolished to make way for condominiums. which i think is a very bad idea lol if it's the land that's cursed, whatever's built on it will be too. rent may be cheap but i'm not trying to get eaten by my condo bc i offended or insulted it in some way. or get lost constantly. or having my space remodel itself, which may be cool at first, but i imagine would get annoying if it decides i no longer need/deserve a kitchen or bathroom, for instance.

This is a great book!

I first watched the movie "Rose Red" then I watched the miniseries... I've always loved SK but this particular story STILL captures my attention and I STILL occasionally read "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer" at least 2x a year or more, it's that good to me! I would love to visit such a place, even though this is a work of fiction! Anyone reading this, if u haven't read the book or watched the movie please do so if your a fan of SK or mysteries and the paranormal 👍👍👍😊

This whole thing seems strangely like the 70's British film "Hell house".

Curses, blood money etc ...causes a property to be tied to tragic events

The part of this story they never tell you and Denying till the death of all production crew is the Real location of this House. I know, where exactly where this house is! I lived just down the street from it. I one day was coming home from the MILITARY base that I was stationed at. As I Turned on my Cars turns signal to turn on my street. A few yards from my Drive. I saw a big change one the property. The Vines covering the Gates to the Estate were cut down and White Van's and Huge Lighting Tripods were pointed at the House. I saw staff wearing Badges and shirts saying crew R.R The Yellow AMC gremlin, Moms Old car and Dean's Volvo was there. At the time I had no idea what all the cars and white Van's. Till I saw the movie. In the Movie they show the House on East side of Interstate 5 . That location in 1990's was industrial and Animal Control, dog pound. Then and there I realized they were hiding the real location of the house. If you are interested in knowing the truth D.M me?

you're competely incorrect. it was well known that the house (in tacoma washington) was greatly assisted by the production crew who helped with some interior restoration work that was badly needed, it is cool that you got to see it during the production.

I loved the movie Rose Red, but its so obvious all the people in this video are acting, (some not very well). Just watch the movie. Trying to b.s people to suck them in more, makes people feel patronized and puts them off.

It was a great story though it was made up. It was kinda of a Winchester house rewrite. I very been there and it wasn't scary. If rose red was real thatd be creepy. If you actually take all tours of Winchester mystery house you realize the basis for this fiction from king.

The filming site for 'Rose Red' is Thornewood Castle ~ located on the shore of American Lake in Lakewood, WA - 12 miles south of Tacoma and 42 miles south of Seattle in Washington State, USA. It's a bed and breakfast, with a wedding venue. About $500 a night. Not cheap but VERY real. It contains pieces of an English Tudor mansion, brought by boat and reassembled. The bricks were imported from Wales. I'd love to see it some day.
