5:16 "The point is not that there's a pawn on h7, even if there was a zebra on h7..." The most eloquent GM.
I gotta say Danya your videos are the first ones I've seen that really helped me understand certain concepts in chess that were so foreign to me before. Stuff like forming an attack, occupying a certain space. I've been a casual player for quite a while now, started out at 800 a couple of months ago, now at 1300. Your content truly is the best out htere, keep it going!
You are a superb teacher. Thank you so much. How quickly you can show the caro kann transposition is dizzying. Really shows how practiced you are.
Thanks! Love these videos! Keep them coming!
Just when you thought Chess was difficult Daniel produces a video and shows how easy it is. Then with renewed confidence we continue to play. Yep still difficult but Daniel peels back the layers and unlocks some of the secrets.
I love your speed runs . You understanding and teaching abilities elevated my Elo from 500 to 1500 in a year. Thank you for your hard work sensei.
Your knowledge shows that you have perfected your craft by studying vigorously. You show so much passion not just for chess but also teaching and and your memory of historical games is a key indicator of your photographic memory. Keep up the speed runs. Micheal jordan fans say I wanna be like Mike. Chess fans will say I wanna be like Daniel
Danya I'm so glad I found you through Charlie, your speedruns and intuitive explanations really help me play better
Thanks! Really instructive for me, as I do face the IQP fairly often on both sides, from QGD as black, some lines in the Petrov, some lines in the Smith Morra, etc.
Getting a notification for a new Danya upload is like getting the present that I've been waiting for! You are the best chess teached ever! Thank you, Daniel!
Your videos, especially the speed run videos, have helped me reach 1800. Thank you for your hard work and amazing teaching! I’m going to my first team event in a month and am studying to prepare. Your videos are great to introduce me to new ideas.
Supremely instructive - there are plenty of videos about the IQP, but Danya's managed to provide model games, analysis of the speedrun position and a thorough explanation of the IQP as a concept in 1 video. Didn't even realised 40 mins have passed
Thank you danya!! Big fan and always happy to see your videos😊
These videos are so good, I’m happy to watch 5+ ads per go. They’re that good. You rock Danya.
Thanks a lot Daniel. Your explanation is always so clear. Learning a lot from it. Great and much appreciated. Greetings from Holland.
As a one who only use a caro kann, your videos about caro has been an amazing book for me. Thank you!
It's one thing to know a subject as well as Danya knows chess. .it's another thing altogether to be able to transmit that knowledge to others. Kudos!
Nice to see you streaming again sir...as always very instructive
Thank you for the new video Sensei, much appreciated!
Danya I just want to say I absolutely love your videos and content in general! You're the best man! So with that being said I wanted to suggest a video idea. I think it would be so cool if you somehow setup a classical style online chess game against another strong player and commentated your thought process throughout the game in similar style to the speedrun. I personally would be in love with a super in depth live game analysis of yours. But regardless, cheers from San Francisco and hope your spring is going great!!
Amazing video! Thank you! 💙
Thank so much for these videos, they really are instructive masterpieces.
Been waiting on this for ages.
Love your videos Daniel. Thank you so much!
No other speed run comes close to the way you explain thinking process... :) Thank you!
I watch all of these thank you for continuing! Best chess teacher on KZread it’s not even close
Thank you for all of your coverage of Tada Steel.
fantastic explanation!!
Love watching high-level games expailned by you
I legitimately get excited when Daniel drops a new video
Hi Naro you know! You re the best GM. I learned a lot from you tramandous thanks from Morocco
Great vid as always Dani. Love your in depth game and analysis. Just curious, why don't you do tournament recaps. Would love to hear a GM analysis GM games
This will be a banger!
hes f'ing back, HELL YEAH!
Bith eric rosen and naroditsky's speedrun are super educational
I need about 5 new speed run videos per day tbh. Love these so much and I learn alot! If you put them behind a paywall but released them more frequently, I would pay.
Thank you Danya. This is the kind of content I’d gladly pay for, but you give it for free. 🤙
This is all i need❤
Certainly makes good sense to know something about the IQP - thx
It's criminal how underrated this channel is
We need more please!
It is worth saying that in this variation of the Panov, white can go for a piece sacrifice, where black's king is stuck in the center and white has a lot of activity as compensation. Engines (and GMs) make a draw out of it, but for amateur players it's a really fun position to play, I have got it twice with white and won both times. This one: 8. Qb3 Bxf3 9. gxf3 Nb6 9... e6 10. Qxb7 Nxd4 11. Bb5+ Nxb5 12. Qc6+ Ke7 13. Qc5+ Nd6 14. Nxd5+ exd5 15. O-O
very nice IQP lessons.
Ive nerver seen a live play, nice!
Thank you!
Thank you Danya
Brilliant. Now we wait another 3 weeks for the next installment.
Amazing
Babe wake up, new Daniel's video is out 😍
cheers Danny
I'm a simple man. Danya uploads, I watch and like it. ❤
Thank you.
Thanks danya
Hello sleep my old friend! Thanks so much Danya!
The Best!
Praise the Lord! Finally a new speedrun Video from Danya ❤
The best coach
Daniel I worship you
yesssssss!!!!!!
Dzięki!
oh boy oh boy oh boy
Holy crap that guy got completely thrown in the dumpster
19:44 how do you know if a move is the main line?
I've been playing a couple of bullet games where I get the IQP structure. My opponents don't seem to like it so they allow me to fix my pawns
You are GOAT
a Sicilian game that features the semi-Tarrasch and Nimzo-Indian defense... all the good stuff to battle or annoy d4 players.
This opening would scare the crap out of me. Every time I see no kings knight, it seems like there is always a mating sacrifice or winning attack
@musical_lolu4811

Forget about openings. How well can you calculate and visualize lines to truly figure stuff out? That's the real problem.
Why develop your dark squared bishop to e7 and not the more typical b4?
Can you do anything with the Dutch? Or is that an outdated opening at this level?
@S1neWav_
4 ай бұрын
the dutch is too risky/hard for him to recommend in the speedrun
#suggestion Sensei, kindly create a new speedrun expanding on the opening theory learnt in this current speedrun. Every lesson is a gem

I wish I could hire Danya as my personal coach for a year straight just to see how far I could get. I have the money I just need the okay from him 😭
@chaosincursion
4 ай бұрын
dedicating a ton of time in a year to help someone out is extremely pricey cause time cannot be gained and i feel someone like danya would just do what hes passionate for and has the money he needs already
So far all opponents playing with IQP do NOT know how to play with it. Instead, it would be great if Danya himself were to play with IQP when opportunities arise,that would be extremely instructive.
Yo Danya could we get a in-depth theory against the French?
You the best main. I deed it.
At 4:54, what if he goes Knight fg5 instead of eg5, followed by Queen h5?
@haznick
4 ай бұрын
I'd imagine after Nfg5 you can play g6 stopping the infiltration by the queen onto h5. Plus his knight on e5 will then still be blocking his bishop.
Aaaaa finally....
I’m fairly certain that IQP actually stands for Insane Queen Posse, a very well known drag show.
It seems that when you want to do some deep calculations you look away from the board. Is my perception correct? If I want to calculate I find it much easier to look at the board. I am not even sure I can do it without view of the board. Is there an advantage to doing it in your head without looking at the board?
@Jj82op
4 ай бұрын
I depends from person to person, if intuitively you have to look at the board to calculate, keep doing it that way
@ruthxk7844
4 ай бұрын
More advanced players calculate without looking at the board so that they don't confuse the position in their head with the position they are seeing in the physical board. For example, if you already moved the bishop and are able to visualize it in its new position, it's easier to keep track of it than if you are physically seeing the bishop in its initial position, you may get confused and think it's still there. But it takes time to visualize without a board. It is a skill we can train though!
@shawncollins1423

@@Jj82op Thanks. I probably have to continue looking at the board, as I don't see anything (or anything much)without it.
@shawncollins1423

@@ruthxk7844 That's interesting. I didn't know that. Thanks for the explanation. And if I can train myself to visualize without looking at the board, then I will be convinced that anyone can do it.
@ruthxk7844

@@shawncollins1423 There are several methods for it, I haven't trained that much so I can't visualize much yet, but slowly getting better even without training much. There are some free android apps like "Blindfold Chess Training" or "Visualization Trainer" that may help you with that!
Danya you need to make more speedrun videos and at a fast pace
Lets gooooo
That Caro Kann line (or rather a variant of it) is in part at least why i stopped playing the Caro Kann. The side line? I think is the term, sacs a piece in exchange for a crazy attack. Still computer says its a draw but in my opinion white is having all the fun
🎉🎉🎉
a short one we take those
so close to 400K and the EXACT line ive been meaning to study, LETS GO
6:06 white pawn to a3 would help

Danya: Your ass is mine 🍑 Everyday I check to see if you upload. It’s gonna be a great evening. Thanks Danya! I’ve reached about 1900 USCF and still going up- and every game I can hear your voice in my head helping me calculate and think through it. You speak so well and explain ideas like nobody else can (Atleast for me.). Thank you for sharing your time with those of us that truly want to learn. You’re a fantastic teacher!
Why are these coming out so rarely nowadays? Remember when it was almost every other day.
NEW DANYA VID
🎉
Yeaaaah boi
Капец. 2300 растерялся и был моментально перекатан. Шахматы - боль.
I’m no gm but that was a Sicilian not a caro no?
@h0wnr681
4 ай бұрын
Yeah it started as a Sicilian, but the resulting position can be reached from a bunch of different openings. I see it with both colors pretty frequently as I play both d4 and the Caro
I stopped plying the Panov Attack because white is under a lot of pressure to attack in a complicated game. Every piece exchange helps black, so I think in practice it is much easier to play as black. Since I have started playing the Fantasy variation against the Caro, my results have been much better. White only plays the Fantasy variation in 3% of Caro games, according to the Lichess database, so the vast majority of times black does not know the theory of this dangerous line.
isnt this an alapin, not an alekhine?
@icysliceydicey

never mind he said alapin later i should just listen to him
It's it just me or his really getting better at trash talking😂
Caro kann?
Answer to question is always d5
He had 2 pawns for the extra bishop. Maybe opponent could have found a draw
