Defeating 5 opponents in Cruel Smash would be challenging for unlocking Joker, but I like it. As a general rule of thumb, the Mii Fighters are very powerful, and hit super duper hard.

To unlock plant you need to kill every killable assist trothy in a match to represent plant getting in before popular characters who are assist trothys like Issac waluigi knuckles shovel knight zero etc

I kinda wish that these small unlockings of fighters were still present for the DLC fighters, rather than just paying $24.99 and immediate unlock 5 new characters at once. Also these were all made really well!

Ranking DLC Challenger Approaching Plant: Pretty good size and good stage selection. Joker: Could be a bit smaller but not bad Hero: Maybe drag him in the middle a bit more but still pretty good Banjo: Perfect Terry: Too big Byleth: Again, drag him a bit more to the middle Min Min: Good Steve: Funny Sephiroth: Perfect. Super terrifying and menacing Pyra/Mythra: A bit big and messy Kazuya: A bit smaller but not bad Sora: Perfect

How about the starting roster (except Kirby)? You can't do that. You need to buy the DLC packs, then they'll be unlocked automatically. You don't need to defeat them to unlock them. Only the base characters do you need to defeat in order to unlock them.

I had an idea of what it'd be like if you had to unlock them in World of Light by fighting them. Piranha Plant would be somewhere in the Light Realm, in some hills/plains area. The first Fighter's Pass characters would be in the Dark Realm. Joker would be in Dracula's Castle, the Hero would be in the Lost Woods area of the Sacred Land, Banjo & Kazooie and Terry would be in the Mysterious Dimension, and Byleth would be in the Triforce of Wisdom area in the Sacred Land. Fighter's Pass 2 would be evenly divided in the Final Battle. Galeem would have Min Min, Pyra/Mythra and Sora, and Dharkon would have Steve, Sephiroth and Kazuya.

This would be perfect for SSBU: Special Edition to be honest. For Cloud, when you beat his Classic Mode, the updated route would have Sephiroth as the final boss, and his unlock battle would specifically be his shirtless alt in a darker arena, with both you and him at 300%. For everyone else, it would be the more straightforward unlock battle. Also, Heihachi could be an included fighter and his Classic Mode Final Round would be Kazuya in his purple alt, followed by Ridley.

The funny thing is Sephiroth is the only one among them who actually had a fight to unlock (even if it was only temporary).

Imagine after purchasing the fighter passes - Nintendo also adds not just the stage and music but also some brand new challenges with some rewards and new pictures (Similar to when you get purchase the online membership and the game gives you some online challenges to try out.) But that gameplay was like little Timmy trying to beat the dlc characters, I could’ve beat them so easily in less than a few minutes.

A long time ago. I was playing on my switch. The next day (IDK HOW) Joker pop up on my fighter map.

It took me a while to realize this was not real.

We all know that there’s no way to do it if I could I would definitely love to find a way an actual way as fighting all the characters to unlock them is just way too much fun and once you do, you can’t ever do it again unless you have another file And it’s always just Sad that you can’t Do it

Yup, sure could've been...instead of taking and breaking these characters off and selling them as expensive toys, oh sorry, "amiibo", they could've made Sora, Joker, Terry, Kazuya, Hero, Sephiroth, and those other guys, the ONLY unlockable characters, IN-GAME, you know, like how Smash had been since it's inception on the N64? This almost feels like an April Fool's joke being played on fans of Smash Bros, Tekken, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, Minecraft, Banjo-Kazooie, Fatal Fury, FF7, Persona 5, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade Chronicles, etc. when it could've just been those series that had the unlockable characters, and not some stupid dlc...as much as I love playing Ultimate, I hate how there's just 10 whole missing characters there. It's like, what's even the point? This is a great game, but why do this to characters who were promised a spot in Smash Bros? Make them accessible only to people who have to pay EVEN more? Shit...I didn't even KNOW Kazuya, Sora, Joker, Banjo, Hero, and Terry were even IN Ultimate! I thought it was a hoax. Sure feels like a bad joke though...

@@melonstuff9creative Yep, I know. You can rechallenge them by going to Fighters' Approach. The 2 doors near the bottom part of the screen, after a certain time. I didn't know about it until after the DLC characters had been announced. I wish Smash 64 would've had something like this...because this kind of thing about me having to redo the Hidden Character fights in Smash 64, was a pain. Especially Luigi, Ness, and if not for Captain Falcon, than definitely Jigglypuff. And Melee had even SOME tougher hidden characters... like: Roy, Marth, Ganondorf, Mewtwo, Mr. Game & Watch, Falco, and some less tough characters, like Young Link or Dr. Mario, who's just Mario without his cap and in a doctor's outfit, who throws pills and vitamins instead of fireballs. But no Dr. Luigi or Nurse Peach, though...or any of Young Link's masks from Majora's Mask...just his Kokiri Shield, and the boomerang he had from Ocarina of Time. But I'm glad he kept the Fire Arrows, though...

I feel like Terry's render needs to be down a little, like how majority of them are

Step 9: Put The Code In, Step 10: Play As Any Smash Character To Unlock Them After Purchasing It, (Example: Donkey Kong, Mario, Sonic, Olimar, Mega Man, Ryu, Bowser, Kirby. Pit,) And There You Have It! If You Didn’t Unlock Any Of The DLC, Keep Trying Until You Unlock All Fighters.

Don’t believe the DLC Challenger’s Approach. He just used the default template, uploaded it on Canva, and darkened the dlc renders. Then, he did a Level 9 CPU smash battle with the dlc fighter and added the part when you buy the character and you open the game.

Buy each one individually, then download them onto the game, and then beat them in a fight after beating Classic mode with certain characters. Because apparently these special characters needed to be broken off from the game and sold separately, like they're toys in a frigging store. All except the lamest excuse for a character, the Piranha Plant. That's the freebie. Not someone like Sora, Kazuya, Terry, or Joker, but a potted plant enemy from Mario Bros. Awesome. And by awesome, I mean crappy.
