These tools while not the thinner traditional slim Jim bars are commonly sold at places like O'Rileys Auto Parts and Advanced Auto Parts also listed on there websites. Adding that curve helped me get it in seconds. Great tip!

OK if you are like me and couldn't get this to work if your life depended on it, on your f250 super duty with electric locks. what did work is I used one of those plastic pry tools to pop door panels loose, to pry the top back drivers side door open enough to insert any metal rod around 1/4 inch in diameter or less with an inch or so "L" bend at the end. It needs to be long enough to reach the electric lock and unlock buttons. You will most likely need to bend a slight arch in the middle and bend a loop at the other end so that you can twist the rod to hit the unlock button. you should be able to unlock your truck in a couple of minutes. you may also want to protect your paint with cardboard. Good luck

well this all looks good, but it didn't work for me. I tried for over an hour. What side of the glass are you on since your windows down? and how deep are you going with the slim jim, what way is the radius of the bend facing,, toward the inside or outside? If it's the inside, with the glass and window gasket, there's no way to maintain the radius bend. It straightens out when you insert it. This is a 2000 F250 Super Duty

Don’t give up it absolutely works. Like he says in the video if it’s straight it won’t work. He says a little angle, in my experience I had to really put a lot of curve in it but fucking finally that thing popped and it was glorious

one thing you do have to do is put something in between the window and the door if you're a locked out completely you want to create yourself little space then work your way to the back if you see the lock move up then you have the right sweet spot

It almost looks like you are on the inside of the glass

Just found out Grill tongs work you just have to take the handle off them and flatten it out and it grabs

You got to put a really good angle here, i tried with a slight angle and didn't work, i put a good bend on the slim and worked first try. Start with a slight angle and keep bending until you find the angle your looking for
