As for my favorite settings, i like having my brake light on the light setting that turns up brighter as you squeezethe brake handle, i also did a voltage test with my Multimeter and found out that when the light is on, it's a steady 4.5 volts and when you press on the brake handle it goes to 6 volts to turn the brake light brighter. My other favorite setting is having regen braking off while on a flat surface road but if im going down a steep hill, ill turn it on from the app, set it to weak and let the scooter glide down and get some trickle charging back into the battery. For the turn signals i too have the beep sound on but since i wear full face helmets with it, its almsot impossible to hear it so i bought another bike style helmet from segway to try out once my scooter gets parts to be fixed. Anyways, thumbs up for this video, man. 😎👊

@amightysailingman that sounds like a good idea! Ill check it tomorrow and report back my findings. I do have mine taken apart right now so i think i just gotta wire up the display to power it on and check it.

Nice! Yah the turn signals are pretty quiet. I also like weak regen, strong is too abrupt for my taste. I hope they bring back the medium regen though, for me that was the sweet spot. It would be hilarious to put one of those train horns on the scooter lol.

Hello! great video. Do you know if it's normal that the bluetooth sign remains on on the screen of the scooter after I turned it off? I guess it's for me to unlock it with the cellphone but I'm not sure if it should be always on. Thanks!

Hey! It does remain on. This allows you to power on the scooter with your phone.

I loved how you presented all the Segway app functionality, but I heard you can enable something that when the scooter is moved it will make a beep and I don't know how to set it up on the Max G2. Thank you for helping the scooter community. 👍

Hey! Anytime :). So for that, go to the App, click Settings, scroll down and click locking function, enable the locking function, set the unlocking password and click done. Now, when you power on your scooter, you will be required to enter a 4 digit numeric passcode to ride it. Use the turn signal buttons to scroll through the digits 0-10 and click the horn button to select the digit. Do this until you’ve entered all 4 digits. This will unlock the scooter. Now, when it’s locked, it will beep and put lots of resistance in the motor if someone tries to roll it away. Hope this helps :)

The "abnormal vibration" setting is an alarm. The label is trash. When activated, it will bip if you move the scooter. I discovered it when trying to figure out why it went crazy in the trunk of my car.

With the EU version, you have less settings unfortunately. The most annoying : you cannot change the minimum speed, it's 5km/h. It's way too much and it's very annoying in some situations. It also make the walk mode 100% useless : you have to push it to 5km/h for the throttle to work, but it's locked to 5km/h max. Basically the throttle doesn't work, and if you push too fast, it will brake automatically (regen). GENIUS FEATURE

Hello again, I wanted to ask you, does a garmin 840 work with the G2? Does it make sense to use such a device with this scooter? It has a lot of features like time and timer and the gps looks more accurate then google maps but maybe it isn’t, I wanted your opinion? Have you ever used a garmin with a e-scooter? Thanks. 🕊

Hello! So I use my Garmin watch with the scooters to more accurately track stats, but that’s more for tracking behind the scenes. That 840 looks like it could be a good option to use in realtime to navigate around. If you live in an area with poor cell reception, the Garmin could be a good choice. But if cell reception and Google maps works regularly where you’re at, that Garmin may be overkill. For that price I’d honestly just use my phone.

Can you make the speed instead of 25 kmh to 30 or 35 kmh when you live in europe? Can i like change the country to the US somehow because i also dont have cruise control. And many other things?

So there are ways to unlock it but honestly I’m not familiar with the process. I do know that Segway restricts speed and disables cruise control in many European countries.

Please help me i just bought germany version ninebot g2 max ,max speed is only 20km/h and i trying all day to change it but i cant . What i need to do? Version 1.7

It should go at least 25kmh in Germany right? I know EU countries have very strict speed restrictions. Are you saying it only goes 20 km/h on flat ground?

I bought one Ninebot max g2. But I can not activate it. It is said there is another account activation. I do not what to do.

Hello! I believe Europe has restrictions on both speed and cruise control. In the US, both Android and iOS have access to the same features except for Apple Find My (iOS only).

Hello! So it allows you to set the maximum speed for Sport mode only. And for that, you can set the speed anywhere from 9mph/14.5kmh to 22mph /35.4kmh

Not that I could find unfortunately. Looks like it’s just Sport mode on the G2.

Not that I’m aware of. That would be a nice feature though.

My app. dosen't have a lot of the items as you display on yours (no lighting adj. no take off adj. no cruise. no task for beginner. no reset function) Recent D/L of firmware has left scooter in partial operational mode (speed only in eco. max 12kph. no D or S available?. no dashboard functions. only operates with app. dash button does nothing. won't sw on/off without app. won't sw off itself.) There is a small blue symbol (not the BT one) showing only on the dash Iv'e no idea what this is? nor has google! Scooters shouldn't have these apps - it leaves the owner without a proper working scooter when they go pear shaped!

Oh wow, have you tried reaching out to Segway yet? I'm always paranoid about losing connection when updating the scooter through the app. They really should have a restore to default option for those cases.

that's because this is the US version of the scooter with a different controller. I also have a max g2 and there isn't as much as they have and also the speed is limited to 25km/h while theirs is 35km/h. I'm the same as you I watched the video before buying and I didn't find any of the streamers warning that when you buy an EU model, you get a different scooter, which is completely pointless. They make device reviews as if they are all the same, but they are not.

I bought used display with out knowing the code. Can I reset this code?

It really depends on riding conditions but I was able to get around 32 miles on my range test.

How is it that they only managed to fit 15000 mAh at 36 V in a thing that big?! One 18650 battery can hold up to 3500 mAh at 3.6 V. So they only managed to squeeze fifty 18650 batteries into the scooter?? My powerbank has 20 of 3500 mAh 3.6 V Samsung cells being about the size of a child's shoe.

Haha. Yah lots of places in Europe have scooters basically on lock down. If a car has no government mandated speed restriction, neither should a scooter or e-bike.
