So with that in mind, here are 4 ways to unlock your inner freedom from the wisdom of Epictetus -
01. Free your mind
02. Train your habits
03. Control your desires
04. Love your Fate
We hope you enjoyed watching the video and hope this video will help you to unlock your inner freedom.
Epictetus was a Greek/Roman philosopher of the Hellenistic period. He managed to overcome huge obstacles in developing from a crippled Roman slave to become one of the most popular and sought after philosophers of his time. Stoicism is a school of Hellenistic philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium in Athens in the early 3rd century BC. Even though it is over 2000 years old, more and more people are discovering how Stoicism is not only relevant to modern times, but can be applied in very simple, yet strong ways.

I like many others fear that I am badly misusing stoicism a wrong way and using it as an unhealthy crutch to deal with obstacles and problems in my life. Essentially using it to distract myself and postpone my issues like kicking a can down a road.

I agree there is a saying in My home: that who was angered on purpose and didn't get angry is a fool
The pace of the narration in this video does not offer much time to think about its content. I just listen to these types of videos because I find the computer generated animations to be distracting. The spoken content is good, but too rapid-fire, textbook-style pace.

KZread has an option under "Settings" to adjust the speed. With that, your problem should be solved.

@@southpac1976 You would overgeneralize and oversimplify matters wouldn't you. No doubt there's a great deal that you aren't taking into account. The fact is, there's a hell of a lot that's beyond the control of human beings. You probably think that hope is always a choice, rather than the luxury that it actually is. It's obvious to me that you need to become informed about what actually is and isn't possible for human beings. Become informed _then_ talk to me.
