Design creation: Using graphic design software, a caption or design is created with the desired text, font, and style. The design can include words, phrases, or even logos.
Cutting the HTV: The holographic HTV material is loaded into a vinyl cutter machine, and the design is cut into the vinyl using the appropriate settings. The cutting machine precisely cuts through the top layer of the vinyl, leaving the desired caption intact.
Weeding: After cutting, the excess vinyl surrounding the caption needs to be removed. This process, known as weeding, involves carefully peeling away the unwanted vinyl, leaving only the caption on the carrier sheet.
Application: The caption, still on the carrier sheet, is placed onto the desired fabric or garment. Heat and pressure are then applied using a heat press machine or household iron. The heat activates the adhesive on the back of the HTV, allowing it to bond with the fabric. Once heated and pressed, the carrier sheet is peeled away, leaving the holographic HTV caption adhered to the fabric.
