Unleash The Archers: Tea Time Interview with Brittney Slayes and Elizabeth Zharoff

I had the pleasure of virtually sitting down with Brittney Slayes of Unleash The Archers to talk about tea, touring, vocal health, fantasy & sci-fi novels, and why Willow is the greatest movie ever. Oh, and of course, bad-ass power metal!
This almost two hours is not to be missed!

"I dont like to use my sexuality as a sales tool. You Know? I want you to enjoy the band because of the music we create. Not simply because there is a female at the front of things." I freaking love this band so much. The vibe is right and it isnt like cheap or gross. Excellent musicians with an honest unpretentious approach. Mad respect!

That's one thing I like about most of the female fronted European metal bands. None of them really sexualize their performances. Their voice and the music is the selling point. And I'm saying that as a dude who likes beautiful women.

Brittney has to be one of the best interviews on the planet, so casual and down to earth. I love how her interviews just flow naturally. There is also an awesome sincerity in everything she says, its not just because she's doing an interview and it's the right thing to say you know she means it. Also I'll always appreciate how much UTA appreciates their fans, I know we only had Brittney in this interview, but they're all incredible people and musicians. I take a lot of pride in supporting a band that cares so much about their fans.

This is so incredibly wholesome and amazing. I'm struggling to find a way to properly communicate my thoughts but to see these types of interactions and content, come largely as a result of the pandemic has been uplifting. Many of us "metal-heads" have fallen in love with these videos and Elizabeths journey down the rabbit hole per se, and to keep watching these worlds collide just reinforces how powerful of a connector that music and voice really is. I don't often comment on KZread content, but I think we can ALL agree that its been a wild year and we appreciate you doing these videos and shining such a positive light on music of all types, openly and without judgement. Can't wait to watch one of my favourite front-women let loose with one of my favourite KZreadrs. Thanks Charismatic Voice :D, I hope that you see this and it perks up your day! Every time I hear a metal singer talk about something, I am just constantly reminded how awesome they are, the most friendliest, down-to-earth people in the music industry, as per my opinion :) EDIT: right after opera singers, I mean :D :P

Seeing Elizabeth and Brittney nerd out for almost 2 hours was such a treat. I'm pretty sure that this is one of Brittney's longest interviews too, which makes it even better. She's such a humble, down-to-earth, and chill human being. Thanks for this!

I only found your channel recently because of your Chris Cornell reactions as I'm a huge fan of grunge. Let me just say that I love your content and especially your personality. Please don't ever stop doing what you do. Please, please, Elizabeth, don't ever stop doing what you do. I love seeing your reactions to what is standard and absolutely normal for me. Growing up in the 90's and feeling like an outsider to society gave me a huge connection to grunge. Such a powerful era, and Mr Cornell (as well as Eddie Vedder) had a huge effect on the way I sing and the songs I play and write on my guitar. Keep up the great work and thank you for being you

I just found this channel a few weeks ago so I'm catching up on lots of content. Absolutely had never heard of unleash the archers. But I'm 45 and haven't been in the metal scene really since 2005. My last show was a megadeath slipknot show but after life kind of started taking over. I've now download 3 of this bands albums and just absolutely adore her voice. I've never really been a certain type of music person as i just like what sounds appealing to me which i know when i hear it and i haven't been drawn in by a voice this quickly since the 1st time i heard Tori Amos. Different styles but this band definitely has a new fan thanks to your channel. Great interview by the way.

1 thing i notice about metal musicians, they might be look tough, scary, rude, and some negative imagery in stage but in real world they nice, friendly, sensitive, fun and really down to earth..britany, Tatiana, elize ryd, floor, allisa white, Bruce Dickinson even marylin Manson

Such a treat to have two vocalists I admire on the same channel, having a conversation. Cheers to you both, and I wish you both continued success in your futures. First off, I was super excited when I saw that you were interviewing Brittney Slayes. I adore watching and listing to both of your videos and music, and your both even more adorable just chatting it up. But this interview blew my mind and kept me hooked throughout it. 2nd: Regarding the interview that Brittney mentioned of Bruce Dickenson, I think it was the one he did in one of my favourate movies: "Metal: A Headbangers Journey". In it, he tells Sam Dunn (another Canadian) that he loves making the crown feel more condensed, looking out into the audience, and pointing at some random person. And that person will be "Who, me?!" and it's another form of connecting to the audience. I just love that!
