I went to D-YXKI's channel and reported it as misinformation, and in the comment box I explained what he's done. Maybe if enough people do the same then youtube will listen.

According to the subreddit, the song was recognized by musical producer Edde Edman as a song of his called "Feels Like A Wish". He provided the credits and lyrics for the song and we're now waiting for him to upload the full remastered song. ...this really was our fond my mind

I saw a comment on a Brazilian video about "Fond my Mind", from a Brazilian who claims to be a DJ who said that the beat that starts at around 1:46 sounds simillar to the beat that appears on the first 2 minutes of the song "Computer Age (Push the Button)" by the band Newcleus. The person also believes that this is by a Brazilian who might have got the song from another singer and then added the freestyle beats over it - basically, they are saying that the original "Fond my Mind" is not the one whose recording we have (in it´s disco/freestyle version).

To me this story is the perfect example of the Two Tragedies quote, stating that there are two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants and the other is getting it. For so long we've been eagerly waiting the moment when the mystery of this song would finally be answered. Well, that day came. Now what? Sure, it felt amazing to get the full version including the intro, hearing the sharp quality and knowing the whole story behind the authors of the song. But there's something special about the version in this video. It brings back that pre-discovery aura I find hard to put in words (or in English words anyway since I'm another Brazillian). It was like getting transported to an uncertain time and place from before I was born, strange yet familiar somehow. That suspense of "will we get it" is now gone. Countless possibilities we've been imagining reduced to one fixed story. A cool story, by the way. I'm glad this old version exists.

Something I notice with this song is that it uses a variety of different elements to the song. It reminds me of the song “around the world (la la la)” by a touch of class since that song in particular has so many different instruments playing. Wish I could find other songs that have similar sound elements like those two.

This sounds better than the full version that william paiva uploaded. I was expecting it to have all of the sounds & echoing that, in my personal opinion, REALLY sold the song for me. Nope, it didn't have any of that originally. Disappointing. Still cool that it was found & with its true name(feels like a wish), but still kinda disappointing in the sound department.

If the original cassette is digital, it needs to have its raw contents dumped. If it's analog, the raw analog output needs to be captured. I feel like a lot of the jankiness of the full upload comes with the fact that they did a lot of post-processing to it (which is stupid for a lost song).

There have been times where the real deal turned out to be a disappointment, such as The Racket, a long lost 1951 movie that turned out to be a boring gangster movie.

It sounds like The Chameleons a little bit. Check out "Less Than Human - The Chameleons" not exactly the same sounding vocals, but this is also recorded in poor quality.
