Universe Size Comparison 3D
Ғылым және технология
Planets in our Universe can get extremely large, but stars get even bigger. In this video we explore the sizes of moons, planets, stars, and even beyond, including black holes and even galaxies.
Basically a comparison of the entire Universe.

I know the concept and method. It’s just an unfathomable distance. We have no real reference to appreciate/understand it. Example, “from the earth to the moon is equal to XXX times around the world.” Cuz that’s our biggest reference for distance. One light year would be aprox 236,520,000 times around the earth? At that distance... my brain just goes “it’s super duper far away”. Lol
@ryanjohnson4895

@@HerrFlachpfeife it isn't, light year is how long light take to arrive at an object in years . Light takes 8 min to get from the sun to to arrive here at Earth

@@ryanjohnson4895 Light-year is a unit of length, not of time. A light-year is the distance light travels in a vacuum in one year. A light-year is about 9.46 trillion kilometers.

Every time I see this video it makes me fall in love with astrophysics all over again. Because it’s so easy to get desensitised to the vast scales of the universe when you’re calculating stuff about it all the time. Like I use units like Mpc (3.26 million light years) in my homework at uni all the time, but actually seeing it like this just makes me go like “oh, right. damn.”
