Thank you. That clarified the install instructions for me, and allowed me to verified my installer did not install it correctly. He wired it hot, leaving it on 24/7 with no relay or air switch.

Yeah licensed technician installer. Many of them are hacks and are not open to practicing new techniques or using new products. But yet companies like RGF does not recommend DYI installs.

When watching install videos, it just didn't sit right with me the way those guys were just wiring it to the board - this seems like the safe way to go, thanks

Few Notes on your video The REME Halo LED is not polarity specific so it does not matter which wire you break. Also the led unit cannot be run continually, this is possible to do with the air switch if the end customer is not educated that they cannot turn the fan to the ON position as the unit will not shut down. the unit MUST shut down to clean itself. If you have a customer who wants to run the fan always on the LED is NOT the unit for them The standard REME is for them. Alternatively they can use a T-stat with circulate mode as that will shut the fan off for a short time each hour. Also RGF does not warranty any of our products purchased online due to excessive fraud (counterfeit units as well as units that have been altered by others)

Joe, Does RGF have training/install videos on the website? I've had the training through Shearer Supply but cannot remember all the details. Also, my new techs need a brush-up from time to time. I hate going to KZread and getting not 100% accurate information. Thanks in advance...

Hey, do you know what the orientation of the air switch should be? Should the inlet and outlet be up or down? The manual has them down and a good install video I saw has them the other way. I ask because my air switch isn’t working with the pressure from the ducts. If I blow in to it, it works. So it’s working, but not with my setup.

Great video, I installed this and the pressure switch works, but sometimes I have to wiggle the positive side air sample tube to get it to work. what would be the issue with this? is it not far enough into the air flow? Thank you.

I just installed my halo LED pressure switch per the instructions and your video. When the fan is on I get 26.8 volts at the reme barrel plug. When the fan turns off I get 6.7 volts at the reme plug. Shouldn't the voltage be 0 when the fan shuts down? Great video, Thanks

Thank you for the great video. I was wondering if wiring the 120v side, to a direct source of power, such as the one you described on your video, would be correct. It seems to follow the same method, such as wiring a doorbell, where the 120 volt side is constant, then the secondary voltage would ring the bell, once the button is pressed. Thanks again.

So, I installed my halo LED this weekend and opted for the switch based on this video. The green light on the halo is on all the time and I think I can see that the light is on all the time. What could be my issue here? I have verified that I have installed correctly and am stumped unless I am missing something?? Any help would be appreciated!

Having a new Bryant Preferred series 2 stage heat 2 stage cool with variable fan installed and the led halo. From this vid, I asked installer if they were going to use the air switch, they said no, going to wire the transformer to the systems "G" circuit for fan signal so it will only be on with the fan... I don't know hvac, so does that make sense or will that damage the Bryant circuitry? Thanks for any help!

Update: well, that did not work, took 3 trips out, 3 different techs before it now goes on and off with the fan... Installers and techs: hey maybe just once in a while, the homeowner MAY know a little something, MAYBE YOU SHOULD LISTEN. Come down off the high horse you think you are on. Anyways, used a universal air switch, wired to signal transformer to power led. Transformer powered by 120v furnace power source. Airswitch needed adjusting with manometer, plumbed to neg side of switch from return duct. Oh, one last tip to installers: maybe not a good idea to brag about being a perfectionist, when you do sloppy work, make mistakes and have to come back a few times only to be pulled from job to have a tech that knows what he is doing fix your mistake... even that tech on a different simple issue was stumbling a little. Whew, they are out there!

I wired mine with a plug, and it's own power source. The manufacturer says it does make a buzz for 30 seconds. My only concern now is how close is too close, to the heater coils. Being that they are usually in the same area

No you do not, there are several options, You do however have to purchase from an authorized retailer NOT an online seller, We do not warranty any online purchases due to the major amount of online fraud and clone units out there
