Casemiro and Bruno have been clinical signings for us. Case has nothing to prove since everybody knows who he is but Bruno gives me those Rooney vibes. Unbelievable player. Very devoted. Never missed a game through injury. Runs his heart out on the pitch. He is the best Ole signing in my opinion and will surely be remembered at OT for his dedication.

This is the first time where a friendly feels serious. This season is going to be fire

Same here. I've been a fan since 1998 and this was my first game live. Incredible performance!!!

3 things stood out today as far as United is concerned: 1. I can definitely see why Ten Hag was keen on signing a keeper who can orchestrate from the back . That long ball over the top to pick out players - just as Heaton did today picking out Mainoo is a killer for high pressing teams like City, Arsenal and Liverpool. 2. Mainoo is for real, never rushed and never does too much. He makes the play that is in front of him and keeps the ball moving. 3. If United signs 1 more quality midfielder and a top tier #9, they will have the fuel needed to challenge for the title this season.

Didn't even realise Mainoo was playing, he was just kind of there, which is awesome, because that's exactly what a holding midfielder should be... whereas there's other players who fill in at holding midfield who stick out like a sore thumb and treat the football like its a piece of boiling volcanic rock.

There's a few exceptions like Busquets who is extremely slick on the ball and is one of the best ever... but remember Michael Carrick, he was world class in the holding midfield and guess what, he was invisible, he read the game well and did everything solid without being too noticeable, which is why he doesn't get the recognition he deserves today. Stan Labotka for Napoli, one of the best midfielders in the world but relatively unnoticed by people who don't pay too much attention to the defensive midfield... whereas with Fred he sticks out like an erection.
