United has become my favorite airline! Best international route network, fantastic ground facilities and now their inflight has seriously improved to become tops in the U.S.. The 787 is also a really nice plane (love the windows). I'll be doing Polaris (first time) Chicago to London in October! Can't wait.

You seriously need to get around a bit more. In the US it might be considered a good airline, but by global standards even their business class is rated economy. They are one of only a few airlines who don't even offer complimentary liquor as a standard economy offering. You literally have to pay to check in bags. I mean c'mon. That's the same as a no frills airline.

United is very underrated it’s one of my favorites! Good service, descent food, leg room and not much turbulence!

Awesome video! I'll be flying with United just 4 weeks from now. FRA-ORD, also on the Boeing 787-10, in Economy class. It's gonna be my first ever long-haul flight, and this video made me look forward to the flight even more! I'm so excited!

I just flew a 787 for first time from Denver to San Francisco. The plane arrived from Frankfurt 2.5 hours before my flight. I loved the ride, the windows, everything about this plane is a step above other aircraft.

Just flew on one of these United 787 from DC to LA I recognize that squealing/ringing sound while taxiing hahaha. cool plane very smooth and lots of room for us tall folks.

I am proud of United! What a world class airline it is.

you sure it's world class? Have you seen what Signapore Airlines, JAL, ANA, Emirates, Qatar etc are capable of in economy? Unless you classify the U.S. as "the world".

@@solotrippin09 I've flown with Singapore Airlines before in economy, so I can compare. United has improved greatly in recent years, particularly in their long-haul products. I like it. In addition, it has a fantastic international route network, if you are based in the United States.

A very good economy flight. The seat pitch looked like more than the standard 31 inches, the food looked good (and I would not have carped about plastic cutlery, which is common in economy), you had outlets for everything and the IFE was quite complete. Smiling FAs were the frosting on the cake!

This was my first long haul flight on United and it exceeded my expectations, a good cabin crew makes a big difference!

Thanks for showing us such great video with clear footages. Was your flight a full flight? I initially might be having my first trip on UA from SFO-SIN but I have to cancelled due to the pandemic. I hope I can try and fly on UA soon.

I flew the Singapore airlines a380 from jfk -Frankfurt - Singapore and it was very nice

I usually always fly Business class when i travel from NY to Europe but i waited until the last min and all the Bc seat were sold i’ll be flying Economy with United looks decent. Wish me luck.

Flying the same route but from London tomorrow. Excited

This video made me really excited for my trip. I am taking the exact same flight in 2 weeks. Going to NYC to check out the new TWA Hotel at JFK. Of course when you have to get to JFK, suddenly EWR flights are cheaper, so I chose United just to try the 787-10. Seems like it's gonna be a good flight. Nice video 👍🏻

The B787 is my second favorite Boeing plane, right behind the B747.

They'd have to pay me to go to Newark, not the other way around. But the dreamliner looks cool!

How was the turbulence

I might get a chance to fly this to dublin next year. I fly to ireland every year with family, but the airport we usually go to (Shannon) is too expensive. I already flew american's 787-9 from DFW to Dublin and it was horrible. Hopefully united will be better.

It honestly really depends on the airline and how well they maintain their aircraft/equipment. I flew on Norwegian's 787-9 from JFK to Denmark and it was a pleasant flight. United's 787-10 are piratically brand new and they just started their 787-10 service from EWR to DUB, this past April. In the past few years, United has spent a lot of time and money, in improving their service to customers, so I think it should be a pleasant flight for you. I am considering booking the EWR to DUB route with United, which uses the 787-10. From all the videos I see, it looks promising...

I must be flying too much. I recognized two of the FAs

I heard that the Trent 1000 starts up using electric motors instead of compressed air. Does the GEnx do the same?

Thanks for your reply, the recline wasn't great.. And it had the same amount of recline as the other seats. The recline on the 767's is much better. And there was almost no noise from the bathroom.

Curious, how do people with physical challenges board a plane this way? All I see are stairs.

Just waiting to get the auto dimming windows in our cars.

Legroom is the same, there are no IFE boxes so you should have sufficient legroom.

I honestly expected a bad experience before going on United but I flew from Washington to London on this and it was very nice. The food was pretty bad but it was comfortable and because of the coronavirus I had a whole entire row to myself lol

I have a flight next Sunday. But the flight seems so full. Plus it’s an international flight. When booking for seats only economy plus is empty and economy has no empty rows. Guess I’ll have to sit next to someone.

@@andreipretorius92 Yeah I understand, I flew back from Korea less than a month ago using a different airline and it was packed so it honestly just depends on your luck but have a safe trip!

I saw 2 El Al planes in this video and it was EWR.

When going trough USA immigrates do not use your phone or other electronic devices because it might get confiscated and you might be subject to additional screening.

When you say leg room is good...how tall are you? This is really subjective.

Holy s**t these 787-10s are taking on more and more EWR based routes fast. Guess I better hurry up to find a 767-400 flight before they retire and it would be a shame if I never experience a 767-400

I haven-t experienced the -400,or any flavor 757 - - - supposedly the only ones that approximate the smoothness and aerodynamic stability of the legendary DC8 Super Sixties. Man, were those some planes WRI-HOA both ways in '70-'71.

I know about Flaps 1, Flaps 2, and Flaps 3, as well as throttle settings of FLEX and TOGA on Airbus.

Interior designs of aircraft are specific for airlines, not the aircraft manufacture

Poop on the Dreamliner. In my opinion it’s a nightmare. I’m 6-10 and their economy legroom is worse than a 737. I can’t afford to get economy plus or the emergency aisle. Tall people should be able to have the legroom without having to pay extra for it

787 can be a bit turbulant...

The economy class may be better than on other third-world airlines, but you still have the lousy United customer service, third-world airport terminals, crumbling streets from/to the airports, unhappy flight attendants, damaged baggage, flight delays - and the typical low-ranking United Airlines experience.

The compulsion to write subtitles really ruins your and many other videographers fine visual coverage that doesn’t need non-stop explanations explaining the obvious.

I understand, I guess it's a matter of personal preference. Unfortunately, English is not my native language and I speak with an accent; that is why I use subtitles. I do appreciate all feedback though!
