Unit Cell Chemistry Simple Cubic, Body Centered Cubic, Face Centered Cubic Crystal Lattice Structu

This chemistry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into unit cell and crystal lattice structures. It highlights the key differences between the simple cubic unit cell, the body centered cubic structure and the face centered cubic structure in table format. The full version of this video provides the number of atoms per unit cell / coordination number, the atomic packing factor / fractional volume efficiency, and the formulas for the edge length calculation of each unit cell which can be useful to calculate the density of the crystal structure given the atomic radius and vice versa. This video is packed with information.

When studying sometimes I don't fully grasp what I'm reading or just get lost in the math and so I can't imagine the problem that well, and even if I do, time makes me forget. So much about these 'harder' courses is in understanding the simplest of things. My thought process does fail from time to time and it's because I end up forgetting of what 'connections' there are to which one of these problems. Thank you for making these and make my life easier! It's also my first KZread comment I think.

I think it's easier to solve the atomic packing factor if instead of solving x in terms of radii r, you solve r in terms of x. That way the denominator only needs to be x^3. Either way though, the answer is still the same and thank you for the tutorial.
