This is a lovely project, but I do think you made it look deceptively simple. Your accuracy in stitching is amazing. The second line of stitching that secures the bias binding was absolutely perfect.

I’ve been doing this for years…just finished 75 blocks last week. I’ve not seen that adhesive batt though, that’s interesting

Two things…1. I normally hate background music, but these tunes seemed to fit the project. 2. I usually fast forward to the end of these kinds of videos to see the finished product. This time, I just enjoyed the process.

Cheryl, Thuy is a great teacher - you can follow her instructions easily. While this is not the usual way to install a zipper, Thuy has made it very simple. Give it a go - maybe you’ll surprise yourself!! Good luck!

Enjoyed the video a lot, wish there were verbal instructions. I guess I am too new to sewing and need more of an explanation as to why/how you do things a specific way. I have tried scrap piecing before and I always end up with areas that are not stitched down when I am done. I don’t think it’s as random as some of these videos make it look. I made a gorgeous Christmas stocking this way, and once it was ALL completed I discovered a rogue piece. Since the video only showed this as a random process I didnt know how to do it better the next time. I have steered clear of it since. I am hoping I find someone that explains it in a way I can be more successful. This pouch feels WAY beyond my basic skill level, for now! GORGEOUS pouch though!
