Are you saying he has no personality? thats fucking gross
I thought I would never find a platycerium ever but I was in this random plant store looking for hanging pots, my mom pointed at some random succulents and right next to is was a platy! If she hadn't pointed it out I would've looked past it 😅 Of course I bought it and now I'm waiting for sphagnum moss to come in the mail (which is surprisingly hard to find where I live). I've never been so excited for MOSS to come in the mail 😂

I got one in a sadplantox, but i have such a bad track record with ferns im scared it will die.
Your design sense does not disappoint. Your plant staging is some of the best I've seen. It's also sweet of you to offer a tribute to Summer Rayne Oakes; she's a mentor to many.
in Australia the asparagus ferns are a weed (several species), mostly in bushland (so sheltered by a bit of a canopy). They're everywhere near where I live and very difficult to manage because of their underground rhizomes. Most of us live on the east coast which is mostly bushland/beaches/rainforests (tropical to temperate climates). Don't think the asparagus fern would survive in our deserts/arid regions (unless near water/shade).

Yeah asparagus ferns are the worst. So hard to get rid of and covered in little spikes that poke you if you try. I cannot get them out of my yard, and they're all through the rainforests too.

Yes, asparagus fern is a weed in Hawai’i too that will pop up everywhere. I’m letting one grow out and see if I like it.

I am a plant lover and I absolutely loved watching this video.
I love your taste in plants and their containers. I love the unusual and displaying them. Here in New Zealand we don't have as many of the unusual ones but now houseplants are becoming such a thing, we are getting a better selection. Thank you
Thanks very much benji.thats very inspirative how to put indoor plants
My estefania erecta stop growing the lease would not die... I thought it was dormant.. then I watered the pot and started spraying water on the cotex every night... Now it's continuing to put out leaves and continue growing all over again. I suggest lots of bright light and spray it with water every night and it will take off all over again 😃😁👍
I definitely want to see more videos with your weirder plants. I recently was gifted a Stephania Erecta and I am so in love with it. Also please more Theo and Chris content. They are both so cute and I love seeing how you interact with them. Warms my heart ❤️
Theo has been a great addition to your household and channel. Thanks for the brief Theo cameo.
The asperagus fern arrangement is so pretty love you’re videos sm
The reflection of your greenhouse cabinet in the mirror throughout the video is amazing
the fact that your voice is extremely calm and goes with your content is amazing
I'm a plant person and love house plants. Yes, plants have their own personality. Your plants look beautiful.
the Staghorn and Elkhorn ferns are quite common in Australia and many people grow them on trees in their yards. When I lived in Los Angeles I also grew mine outside on fern bark and fed them banana skins that made them grow so fast. I love these plants.

Your place has changed quite a bit. What I admire is the intentions and meanings behind your decisions. Very mindful and not rushed. Plus to incorporate plants into ID (2 of my passions) is no easy feat because you have so many factors to consider. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. ❤️

Hi Benji! I love your manner of presentation, you have a unique collection of plants, your voice is soothing and calming and you are knowledgeable to your subject. Looking forward to watching a second vlog from you. Thanks and more power!
Your planting art shows beauty of simplicity.

Benji, many thanks for another great video! Your plants always look so healthy and beautiful. Such a joy to see you and your plants. Take care! 👌🪴🥰
I cant wait til the decorating. Love the plant staging you do. Thank you for the recommendations on the plants
I LOVED your dining table with the micans over it which inspired me to trail my micans over my window but I am still super exited to see how you finish out the space.
I m either ambitious or just stupid 😀 I m working on a indoor fern system but I have never been goid with ferns. SO it's either going to go well or I will be crying for a while. Love you Theo.💓
I've been binging your videos for a few days now, it's such a dreamy aesthetic, and I admire how passionate you are!
I love your energy this is so relaxing to watch
benjiiiiii you never miss!! been watching your videos since april '21 and oh boy how you've impacted my plant collection. your instagram is quite literally always in my recents for reference photos. i think you were the first person i saw talk about asparagus ferns and platyceriums and they have been my favorites ever since. (oh the joy of successfully growing a plant that is said to be difficult >:) ) one of these days ill be quick enough to get a passiflora from your shop and boy oh boy when it happens... it will be grown everywhere... always a pleasure to watch your videos and delve deeper into the plant world. there is no one like you!!
Wow! I am really impressed with your plant collection. I have never heard of some of them. I love the uniqueness of them. Tyfs, peace and blessings over you until next time.
Benji, you are a pleasure to learn from. I appreciate your your delivery and I enjoy your kind gentle nature.
200 000 subscribers yeah! Congratulations!🎉
I love seeing people's homes and your is already beautiful, so I am so excited for the next video!!🌺💖
I have always had a couple plants around the house but nothing much. A jade and a pathos are my norms. Recently rediscovered my true passion for watching life emerge and am excited to get more life in my home. Your videos are giving me great ideas not only of some plants to try but new ways to exhibit them. Thanks man.
Love this video. Love your taste in decore. Love your selection of plants and their presentation. Thank you. I feel good after watching this.
Oh my, I am so happy that i found you today. Love, love love your esthetic and style. Cannot wait to watch more. Wondering if if you could place the anthurium pendens plant and pot entirely into larger a larger wood orchid pot with fresh medium between the pots. Would give your plant more room without damaging the lovely roots. Cant wait to watch more.😀
Theo is as chill as you are. Love it! Great video.
I Like your Videos. I like your Creativity and the way how you explain about your Plants as well as the unique Plants that you have. Keep up the good Work !!! 👍
식물 키우시는 분들 중에 제일 예쁘게 식물을 키우시고 화분 배치도 잘 하시고 화분도 너무 이뿌고 알아듣지 못해도 참고를 많이 하는편입니다 ~
thank you for making this videos and sharing your knowledge :) i can never wait for Sunday to watch your next videos. Great work!
Love watching your vlogs. I always anticipate your next one. Hi Theo and Chris!
Meraviglia delle meraviglie, tu, le tue piante e il tuo cagnolino
Thanks for the information! My plant vocabulary has expanded after watching your video!
You have the most unique collection I've seen. It's nice to see new plants I've never seen before.
I really appreciate your uniqueness and great taste for plants and specially keeping them growing until they become vintage. That’s what I do I have some 20 and 30 year old plants in my apartment in NYC. I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and there are some plants I have in my house in that I cannot find in New York. But, at least I have 3 two places where I can be creative and care for my plants especially decorating. I wish you the best , you’re very young, smart and focused. Take good care of yourself as you care for those gorgeous plants.🇧🇷🇺🇸
i fell in love with both platycerium and carnivorous plants thanks to benji
Coleção mais incrível que já vi! ❤❤❤
Benji your houseplant collection is wonderful. Thanks for sharing
sometimes i just continue to play all your videos in the background while I do house chores haha. Benji's voice and videos are just so calming
Love ur way of expressing individual plant. Good work 👍

oh i had no idea! i have a few australian plant friends and they’ve always told me it’s hard to get bc it’s an invasive plant in australia. Perhaps only in certain regions?
@reeciebehere
Жыл бұрын
They’re definitely on the invasive species list on the east coast, you can still get them but they’re not big faves atm. Probably cause everyone in the 80’s went berserk with these and they got out into bushland/rainforest everywhere on the coast🤔They’re absolutely gorgeous tho…
ok I just discovered your channel and I'm absolutely in love~ the plants, the back soundtrack, the flow of the video... jus perfection
That's right keep talking about that plant my friend I never get tired hearing about it. Great video 🖐🏻
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with your apartment. And I can't wait for the staghorn video, it's a wish list plant of mine. Yours all look so beautiful mounted, I'm hoping I'll be able to do that at some point. 😊
Omg yes to all these plants!! So unique and I definitely am adding some to my wishlist! I especially love all the strappy plants. I enjoyed watching this video, thank you for sharing so many details about such a great variety!

The asparagus fern is a weed here in Hawaii too!!
Right now I love when I see there’s a new video. Your videos are so chill I watch them more than once lol.
your voice is so calming 😊
Love all the plants, you can admire a huge discorrea eliphantiphies at the Huntington Botanical Garden in the cactus area, thanks for sharing!!!
platycerium ridleyii grow it's fronds in pairs in my experience, so it does two shield fronds then two fertile fronds
You keep your place so clean and beautiful your style is very nice. I like your designer taste a lot the neutrals and you are doing great with the plants.
Love the arrangements and the pots ❤❤❤
Really relaxing to watch I am always happy when you upload new videos :)
I come here often because I love your aesthetic and I think you have the neatest taste in 🌱 plants. ❤
Your videos are so zen and very ASMR adjacent ❤️
When I see your content that make me feel released my stress 😊
I love your plant collection goals
this was amazing, thanks for sharing ! also regarding the repoting of your Pendens, just cut the roots it wont do any harm to the plant, I trimm the roots of my anthuriums with every repot to keep them in the same pot and they do go a period of rest but eventually will start growing as usual
Very understated but stylish pots - love them
Thank you! ! This made me want to grow my collection!
Can you do a video about staging and arranging plants? You’re sooo creative!! I love the way you stage and arrange yours.
I love your videos, You always give me new ideas , I just ordered an "cat-face" passiflora capsularis. Paused the video and quickly found one on Etsy. I am so excited. I will probably try to string it up with fishing line like you did. Awesome idea!! Your home is really wonderfully decorated. I predict you will make it into a "Home-decor" magazine someday! 🤞🤞 anyway , thanks a bunch. And omg the face on that pupper especially when he is sleepy, just too cute, I am weak! be well and safe xoxo
Thank you Benjii lOve your style and all your knOwledge, I sO appreciate yOu.
Thank you for showing your rare plants. It was informative and now I want some. 😁
Beautiful! I love your esthetic! Great taste in plants !
Thank you so much for including the Argentine Ball which is an awesome plant with EZ care in summer. It is close to a cactus cause they are surprisingly prickly, like many bromeliads. I keep mine on windowsill of mostly West, splash of south-facing window. Hope to keep alive in winter 😅
asparagus fern is also invasive in New Zealand ! I believe it thrives the most in our sparse forest areas, bushland & coastlands.... which get lots and lots of dappled light, not too much water & not much nutrients either.. I believe most people struggle with them because they don't give them enough light and also overwater their sensitive tubers! And: they're in the lily family, not ferns. We have lots and lots of invasive lilies in same biomes that in other places are considered nice garden pieces- like canna, arum, agapanthus so maybe the trick is treating it like them.
Hello from the Caribbean. Nice collection and well taken care plants. 👍🏼
Hellooo, congratulations on your wonderful KZread channel! I luv your design esthetics & plant style, it is truly so pleasing to look at. I can't stop watching all your videos!! I luv the coziness at well! Theo is sooo adorable 🐕! Ty for inspiring me, can't wait to buy my first philodendron glorious, it's a stunner! 🌿
Great to find your channel. Your plants are so nice, especially in love with the passiflora colinvauxii in this video, they look so cute!
You’re the best Benji!
your videos are so relaxing and informative
Hi Benji Love how you make each plant unique in the way you present them. I am from Sydney ,Australia (Born in South America) the climate here is a mix, only in few places you find dry Inviroment,I'm from the east coast full of beaches hot summer ,very cold in winter, but I don't own an asparagos plant ,however like them ,I have seen them at some plant shops.. Just sharing this with you, because as you said you didn't know that much about Australia. Your home is looking amazing more and more each time you film. 💚🌱🌵🪴
Asparagus fern arrangements looks so good💚😍
Hello Benji! Enjoyed the video and wanted to comment about the Dioscorea elephantipes. I have several of these cuties growing outside, some growing under full sun and one of them growing in a covered area. These are desert plants, so they thrive in dry and harsh conditions. I have noticed the plants that are growing under full sun tend to produce relatively shorter stems and the leaves on them seem to open faster. In contrast, the plant that is under the covered area produces way longer stems (like yours) and leaves tend to remain closed for a longer period. I have to set a wire frame for it to support itself otherwise it starts hooking into other plants. A little sneaky, but I love these! :) Happy growing!
just saw a callosum in the botanical garden a month ago, and realised how cool it is really nice plant pick in general, thx u
I’ve never seen that rhaphidaphora before and I love it! 💚 Hi Theo 🐾
I just found you and totally appreciate the simple and relaxed way of talking!! I find wayy overboard when most of the plant digital creators that speak super out loud as if they're super over happy all the time it's just too much!
Just found you Benji! Enjoy this very much! Thank you!
This is one of the best "unusual plants"-videos I've seen in a long while!
Love your pots too
