We found a cache once that had 3 red herrings! We found all 3 red herrings but it took us ages to find the real cache, and it turned out that the small log i moved to reveal the 1st red herring actually had the cache inside it where someone had drilled a small hole! I loved it :-)

My friends found one today with the guardrail red herring. The actual cache was in a hide-a-key rock very close by. Looked like a real rock tho. Took forever to find.

We finally found another cache with a red herring, but it wasn't until after our 600th find! They aren't very common around where we live, apparently! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment!

That's the first GRC that I've seen that I liked. Well done. There are soooo many GRC's around here, we normally just keep on driving when we see the coords lead us to a GRC. I might have to start looking, should any be this good.

@twish1999 Three months later, we still have not come across another cache with a red herring (or three LOL!) but if I found one like you just described, I think we would enjoy it (and be amused by it too)!

Great little cache! Love the red herring! I would not have guessed it being that close to the actual target. But.. hmm... you picked a corner section of a guardrail. Those are notorious for being destroyed by cars. How did the cache hold up? :)
