There are simulators such as Euro Truck Simulator 2 that don't have overheating engines. Mafia 1 was ahead of it's time in so many ways :D

Naše hry měly detaily, protože vývojáři nebyli líní a žízniví po penězích. Někdo by mi konečně měl vysvětlit, proč se hrajou rychlosračky jako Call of Duty nebo Far Cry a hry, které jsou detailní a propracované, tak jsou přehlížené. (go on and translate it, so you can learn our beautiful language)

I've playing this game for 20 years straight since its release and I first learn about this only now, too!

Tommy in original looks so much better than in remake. Extremely charismatic person.

@CHRZ CZON I really hope Hangar 13 doesn't fuck around with this. Fixing the skybox, improving the AI of enemies and cops (traffic laws etc.), keeping the small details of the OG (refuel your car etc.) and improving their engine (better vehicle deformation) are deal breakers for me.

3:43 that lag before car explosioin is another feature of this game

Another great detail are Trams, if you kill the tram driver, the whole tramway System in city part will collapse. Cuz that stopped tram wont dissapear. All trams are mounted in the city. Trams dont dissapear or respawn.

I don't know if you ever encountered this bug. If you detach all 4 wheels of pedestrian's car and will steal it, all wheels will magically return to the vehicle as you enter the car

They designed it originally as a driving only game but even so simulating the behaviour of the engine is amazing

I love the details on this really old game. Anyone else looking forward to the Mafia definitive edition?

The game was unique for it's time. I'm looking forward to live thru the story once again even if unique details won't be in place anymore. The story was mad if you actually want to compare with other games at that and this time. And actually it was suppose to be a racing game in first place lol so I just hope they will not mess the storyline.

it's been long time but I think if you come back to the main menu you will find a trophy that you win the racing misson that's a really nice detail

I really thought they’d add all these features back in DE. They never did. It’s so boring on freeroam. It’s such a shame cause it had so much potential.

The wanted system in this game is something else, I could break the traffic laws and be spotted by the police, drive away, leave the car and hide, and they still would look around to try finding me. Calling off porsuit later on.

I thought the gear thing wasn't on purpose and it was a mistake
