Ayer y hoy el café matinal con los amigos ha sido agotador. Un solo protagonista: el fútbol. Que si el Real Madrid-Manchester City, que si el Atlético-Dortmund, que si el Barsa-PSG, que si la gabarra del Atletic,…Y yo callado, sin poder meter baza. Con los años he aprendido a convivir con mis complejos. Uno de ellos ha sido no tener ni puñetera idea de fútbol. De pequeño preferiría leer, escuchar música, ir al cine. Un tipo raro a quien el fútbol le importa tres coj….s, no digamos ya el Real Madrid. Yo no sabría nombrar ni uno solo de los actuales jugadores de la selección nacional. No sé quién es la estrella del equipo, ni el portero, ni el entrenador. Pero lo más grave es que sé perfectamente quién es Luis Rubiales, un futbolista de medio pelo (disculpad la hipérbole) que cambió las botas por los despachos y llegó a la cúspide de la burocracia deportiva, nada menos que a la presidencia de la Federación Española de Fútbol, un cargo por el que, entre unas cosas y otras, se llevaba casi un millón de euros brutos anuales, prácticamente el doble que varios de sus homólogos europeos. Podía haber solucionado el escándalo del morreo descarado a una jugadora ante las cámaras de medio mundo mediante una disculpa pública, pero en vez de recular prefirió lanzarse a un bochornoso contrataque en la que las coacciones y el beso no consentido le han valido un proceso judicial en el que, además de perder el puesto, se juega dos años y medio de cárcel. Por si fuese poco, a raíz de este follón de categoría internacional, ha salido a la luz una trama de chanchullos corruptos que salpica a buena parte del fútbol español. Aún quedan muchos Rubiales, y no solo en la federación.
