Thank you for the review! I recently got this bag, I bought it for travelling (I’m thinking personal item only) and this size looks like the right way of doing it. I couldn’t find the L capacity of it. Do you know it? I’m currently away for a week and manage to pack just the essentials, I have access to a washing machine and all the comforts of a home away from home. My only complaint is there’s not water-bottle dedicated compartment, and its a little too large for my frame (5.1) but I knew that when I purchased it. This first trip with it has been ok, because we are still in the same country and I know the weather here. My real test will be in the summer. Would you use this bag for travelling either local or abroad? Thank you for the video

Hey Lilith, thank you so much for the compliment! I couldn’t find the volume capacity either but I think it’s between 17-22L, it’s not necessarily large but not small either. Yeah without a dedicated water bottle compartment, it makes it a big more difficult. This bag I would just keep using for daily use such as for locally and carrying your essentials only, if you need it for an abroad trip, I would not recommend it as you may want something that offers more storage and protection. Hope that helps ☺️

You’re welcome 🤭 the bag basically is a square is basically 45cm Height x 45cm Width, then the straps are adjustable so that would depend on you how you adjust it. Hope it helps. This one is the older one now and there is revised version 2 with a laptop sleeve inside now that’s on their website.

Ordered it and waiting, but would a third way of wearing it (elongate as much as possible one of the backpack straps and tie it to the opposite, thus making a crossbody) work?

Yeah it’s possible but it would sit weird on your back lol you’re best just using the backpack straps as normal, probaly be more comfortable to be fair 🤭

Yeah it’s fine, as long as you don’t carry heavy items then it’s perfect for long periods. I believe its made for just daily light items 😊 hope it helps

Just checked the nearest Uniqlo store and the tote doesn't have the separate bottom compartment😢

Ohhh I just had a look in the UK website, it feels this tote bag is came out with a 2.0 now….they removed the bottom and added a laptop pocket… interesting!

it's that all water proof?

Water repellent finish only for the exterior, for light rain for example. The bottom section is waterproof though, soo wet items stored in there will not affect the rest of the bag. Hope that helps

Yeah atleast for UK it’s still available, you can still get one. But for others countries not exactly sure. Uniqlo does differ with products to each country just bare that in mind. Hope it helps you

Update* uniqlo listing for this product in U.K. is gone….best chance is to try instore or just phone up to your nearest one and they should be able to guide you.

Definitely not recommended for a laptop, possibly if you have a sleeve on a laptop and to protect it, you can. However I wouldn’t personally wouldn’t put my laptop in this bag. Hope that helps 👍🏻

Yeah this certainly can, and for the added benefit! You can switch it to a backpack. I tend to switch over to backpack cause it’s more convenient cause I walk a lot 😅

The tote handles at the top are adjustable to use as a shoulder bag. The backpack straps are hidden and can be taken out and used in backpack mode.

The bag is light, and best to just pack light for everyday use. Anything heavy will really weigh this down and there isn’t too much padding or reinforced areas.

You certainly could but if you got a laptop, make sure to have it in a laptop sleeve first

Yep it’s grand for that! Although there isn’t too much structure to the bag and it may sag a bit but it will do fine 👍🏻 I had heavy items in it last week while I was away out of the city , buying some random things and it held up good 👍🏻

By now I’ve used this for about a few months now, I had no issues at all, as long as you take care of it, pretty fine yeah. Just good for light items for everyday carry

Hello Victoria, it’s still fine to use a tumbler and to store it inside. But just know there isn’t a water bottle holder so you just got to store it inside. Hope that helps ☺️
