Stop launching rockets and missiles, stop doing mock drills in the ocean.

Heatwaves, flooding, loss of potable water, impacts on agriculture, damage to infrastructure, disease, growing costs of adaptation and to top it off political unrest are serious challenges. These aren't just singular issues in isolation, rather they feed off each other. They have a multiplying effect on the social and political effects that erode resilience but even worse make policies for adaptation more difficult.

I suppose it’s a way of insulating oneself from the huge waste of a unique and wonderful gem of a world which is undoubtedly unique in the universe. Also factor in about 450 nuclear reactors that will not be maintained. Humans would rather kill each other than take care of the world that gives them life.

There's only one planet with finite resources. We act as though we have 3 planets and infinite resources. This does not bode well, on any level.
