    Oh my god I've been following some other dude's instructions on how to do rear delt fly and I never really felt my delts. Will fs try this TODAY bc it makes a lot more sense than what I was doing

    Appreciate it, and the height of the cable makes a difference u want it slightly above your shoulders

    oh really? There's no extension of the arm behind the body and so little stress of the rear delt in this exercise as demonstrated. This exercise is no better than a reverse pec-dec flye.

    @@ozzy6162 LMAO, because your arm Doesn't naturally extend behind the body. Trying to prove your point while proving mine, 🙏. Fucking genius

    And nowhere did I say rear delt pec dec flys weren't a good exercise. I said the man understands kinesiology. Obviously you do not

    So why do some say to do with a strict 45 degree angle and arm almost fully straight??, what aligns better with the rear delt fibers??

    The alignment with the rear delt fibres will not change with elbow angle, as the rear delt attaches onto the humerus. What will vary here is the amount of tricep recruitment (higher the closer to straight the elbow) and the amount of tension imparted on the rear delt by the varying lever lengths

    I have a hard time connecting with this exercise. Any advice on driving the force into the rear delt better?

    Try keeping the body fixed at first, then once you’ve developed the mmc you can incorporate the torso manipulation

  • @ozzy6162
    @ozzy61628 ай бұрын

    The rear delt only has two functions: (1) external rotation of the arm (pivoting at the elbow joint) and (2) extension of the arm behind the body (pivoting at the shoulder joint). So I'm sorry but the exercise you demonstrate here isn't the correct, or best form, of the rear delt flye The only video I can find on KZread that demonstrates it properly is a one by Eugene Teo. If you find his video & give the 2nd exercise he demonstrates a try, after finding the correct angle to hold your arm at to your body, I guarantee you'll feel the difference in your rear delt.
