Ғылым және технология

In this video we take a look at the Unifi access rescue keyswitch. We would want to use this rescue keyswitch in case of a malfunction with the Unifi access hub or a power outage

He would hack this one in 5 seconds like a majorty of his videos because this device is very poorly designed.

I suspect he would unscrew the key switch and either bridge or disconnect the wires on the back (depending on how the switch was set up).

questions: would you want this on the interior side of the door, exterior, or both wired in series? what keeps someone from just taking it out of the wall and hot wiring it?

First thing i thought of was the exposed screws. Remove those, cross the wires and im assuming it would unlock? Feel like the lock picking lawyer would rip that thing apart.

In the uk these switch’s would be used on the inside to unlock the door for emergency services to enter and exit as they please

@@Walterz930 The key device is for if the system is down and the lock is in failed secure mode. This would then lock your emergecy service outside and unable to get in without smashing the door down, then I don't think they need any key .. lol this is a poor security device and Ubiquiti should stop making locks.
