I have this watch and own an SKX009 too but the Citizen is definitely my fav, the smaller size, those cool indices and that gorgeous blue just wins it for me, oh and the crown at the 8 o'clock makes it really comfy as it doesn't dig into my wrist like on other watches.

I owned the black one, i didnt know that the watch is that difficult to get and rare. I considered myself lucky as f then. All i feel is, i really enjoy this watch, it has quality for bucks and background story. Love the work and reviews that you made in your channel. Keep up the great work man!

I saw one in Italy. It seems to have more attention to detail than the SKX. The one in Italy comes in a small scuba tank it looks like. Pretty cool. Fighting the impulse to buy. I really don't need another watch.

Hi, does anyone know if it's true that citizen discontinued this watch already back in 2003, I mean how can it be possible, if it's really the case I just got a new 15 year old watch. Then all the features exempt from measurements probably aren't true anymore.

I'm Italian so for 200€ I can easily source both the black and the blue dial version easily (also the full lume now that's back into production). Since you have both of them, which one do you like more? I'm attracted to the blue sunburst dial, but the glossy black looks really sleek too.

Is the second language of the date wheel chinese? If yes is not the euro version is the asian version. Euro version come with the promaster scuba tank watchbox. Of course not worth the extra 2X for me. I just received the notification recently and jumped on it immediately but was sold out. That is how fast they are moving. Dutyfreeisland told me they sold out in 15mins. I did log in immediately that means there is a lag so the notification is quite useless for these unicorn models.

I just ordered this watch (from Germany) based on this review. I just couldn't get that blue dial out of my mind! 😊

How much did you pay extra for import fees n vat?

You measured the strap width at 22mm which is a useless measurement imo. Would have been better to measure the lug width which is 20mm for this watch.

I have a question because I know that you really like both Phoibos and Citizen. How does the quality compare? I am more specifically concerned with the Phoibos 1000 meter diver, both quartz and automatic. I like that it has a sapphire crystal but do not like that the indices are not applied. The comparable Citizen has applied indices but mineral crystals.

While Phoibos is a great up and comer I would still go for a Citizen.

Got this of amazon from Germany £180, now comes with the hackable movement 8204 instead of the 8203.

Is it one of the colour variations? The Pepsi bezel? I belive the crown is signed on those too. Aswell as the numbers on the bezel are smaller. Can you post a picture please. I'm keen to a picture under normal light.

That OEM bracelet is of really low quality that does not match the quality of the case. The folded links pull hair like crazy. The after market one with solid links seem to get much more favorable reviews from owners. The OEM looks nice with the original clasp, but that's where it ends for me unfortunately.

C'mon man, you call this "unicorn"... This watch is all over the place (can be bought). If is not available in USA but is available in Europe/Japan/..., is not rare (as you obsessively repeat in your video). If approximately 100 $ (which would be import fees and transportation cost) makes it "unicorn" and "very rare"... I just bought this set for 250 euro and I don't consider it rare/special... You want to know what a unicorn is? Seiko SARB0045. This is a unicorn. Is impossible to find one, and, even if you find, is ridiculous expensive (comparing with his original price). But this Citizen being a unicorn and very rare? You call yourself a watch collector? I payed almost 200$ (including import fees and VAT) for a SS bracelet for my Seiko Alpinist and I still don't consider myself a watch collector. And you? Waiting almost 1 year to buy this watch cheap, while it is available everywhere for an extra 100 bucks? Nothing more to say.
