Don’t be hard on yourself! I’m back in school at 26 after trying to make it as a full time artist with only little success. Now I’m studying cybersecurity and got a contract job in the field too. Sadly, it pays little but its ✨experience✨😭 I get imposter syndrome a lot, doubting my technical skills but everyone has to start somewhere! Get that CS degree and you won’t have to look back

I understand what you are going through, I too had to take a drop year after high school to figure out what I wanna do. All my friends are graduating next year and I have one extra year to go, but everyone has their own timelines. Also college means you have to juggle classes and not drop your gpa so smart move I guess. Data structures can get overwhelming tbh. All the best ♥

AHH omg im on a similar path as well! I graduated with a degree in Kinesiolgy in 2023 (took me 5 years rip) and then decided no let me get a degree in computer science now 🤨 I personally feel like computer science is suuuuchhhhh a hard program compared to other programs and its not talked about enough! Not only are the courses hard, but the internship scene is also so pressuring! Keep your head up! I'm also an immigrant daughter so i feel the pressure but we got this!!

I suddenly feel unsure about my course, everyone around me are applying for internships, the job market where I live is pretty tough… all these and i’m just a freshman 🧍‍♀️ I guess the best we can do for now is take life easy (live in the present/being present)! what’s for us will eventually come to us 💗

Hii Kaii, so, I got what you said about being behind and, I just want to say that I fell the same. You know, I'm still working to pass in a uni and most of my friends are already in one or even are working, and I always fell like the “funny friend who will never have future”, but, two things: 1- The universe is always keeping something for your future, if it doesn't give you now, just wait the moment, you will fell realized at the future. And 2- Your time is your time, sometimes most of your friends even wish to come back to uni time to learn more, moreover, it's your journey, so never ever compare yourself. I did this in the past and coast me my mental health. If you fell empty, or want to do more, I'll give you a tip: find a hobby, now that your exams end, you can find something that will even improve your portfolio or even one ability that is good to have for your career. I understand the pressure of having bad grades cause being in worry about your gpa dropping is sooo frustrating.. i’m mathematic student in my 3rd year of uni but i’m in constant struggle fear and anxiety cause the major is super hard my grades barely barely barely get to the passing grade i work so hard everyday I study super hard everyday but still not being able to solve some problems in exams… teachers and professors in my uni are so hard on students which makes it even worse.. im actually so sad idk what to do with my future I literally cry myself to sleep every night uni is just my biggest nightmare these past 3 years.. but I’m trying to change my mindset and seeing the positive side instead of crying I’ll work on internships and taking various courses outside uni and hopefully in the upcoming years I’ll come here to tell you that I finally got a full time job I enjoy and my fears were nothing

you are doing the right thing taking algorithms by itself, very hard course. alot of your classmates have probably been programming nonstop since the age of 15, so dont be so hard on yourself.

Feeling the same rn.. my previous degree was communication studies and now I'm in compsci as well. also having data structure and algthis semester, super hard for me lol people my age are also working great jobs or already doing their PhD or something. All I can say is, do whatever you need to do right now and stop worrying about the future. You cant control what will happen in the future but you always can ensure you have a good night sleep and therefore a more productive day! This is also what I have been telling myself for the past few months haha. You've done so well, this is your second degree! Dont be too hard on yourself

(not with the internship part, but dropping classes). but I took a class this semester after failing twice in the past years. the fact that I'm now graduated and still don't have a job in what I have a bachelor's degree in is depressing. but I hope you find a bright side to it. I hope you are still uploading videos and continue to entertain us. ofc, take your time if you need to, but we'll be here for you. 🥰

i already have a degree but i am going back to uni in september to study computer science. i am 22 and all my friends from my previous degree are working full time jobs. instead of comparing myself to others, i try to focus more on the fact that i have the privilege to decide not to work and go back to being a full time student. don't be so hard on yourself and don't compare yourself to others!!! you are doing great

I've been going through the same thing, doubting my decisions and not really knowing where I wanna go in life. I'm gonna get my Bachelors in June probably and will be 24 by then. I did the degree because it was interesting to me at first and was kind of the thing my heart wanted but now I'm pretty sure I don't wanna do any job in that field (it's a literature major). I will probably do another sort of education/diploma after the Bachelors and I feel so dumb sometimes for not having chosen something else. What I wanna say is: we're all in this together and we will figure everything out eventually

You're not alone girl. My parents are both immigrants from the Philippines and I'm an only child. I was always so hard on myself on why I hadn't gotten my degree yet while seeing all my friends graduate, start new careers, and having everything together. Although at times it's hard I've started to understand better now that we can't compare ourselves to others and that we all have different journeys. We will get to where we want to be when we are meant to get there. I just graduated last month and officially have my bachelors in nursing at 29. You've got this Kai! Keep going! Bangtan is rooting for you too! 💜

I’m finishing up my philosophy and sociology degree and am feeling so jaded with job prospects and overall just want to be working in science and computing. So, I’ll be heading straight back to uni for a CS+Pharmacology degree next year. It’ll be another 4 years and I’ll be 37 when I graduate but compared to doing a PhD in Sociology, I feel like it is a better use of my time. Edit: I just wanna add that your channel made me comfortable with going for a second degree in science, despite knowing that my grades are going to plummet the moment I start that program. You’ve got this, it’s just a different path that you’re on but you’ll get there in the end :)

Hey Yoon, I'm 12 minutes and 19 seconds into the video, and I just wanted to share some advice with you! Believe in what you're doing and commit to it - it really does make a difference! I'm turning 24 on May 31st, and I can relate to your journey as a compsci student. I failed a class (CIS 216, I think), and had to drop out due to financial reasons. After that, I went through some rough patches, working at Dunkin' for short periods. But things turned around when I landed a temporary job as an Office Assistant at an H care center. I loved it from day one! My plan now is to save up money and hopefully return to school around summer. Once I graduate, I'll head to the Philippines to meet up with my girlfriend. Funny thing is, she looks just like you! I mean talk about coincidence, right? She's already working in IT, and I'm hoping to follow in her footsteps. It's normal to feel pressure about having a stable career by now, but remember, everyone has their own journey. Some reach their goals sooner than others, and that's okay. Not sure how old you are, but you seem to be in your 20s. Anyway, I hope my advice brings you some comfort and encouragement and a smile to your face!!

Hello Yoon, I'm from Myanmar (now happening wars around the country so badly since 2021). Luckily, I have a laptop and still can access the internet. I graduated from high school in 2020 and am now majoring in Computer Science at the University of the People (California online university). I'm in my sophomore year right now and I admit that it's getting harder and harder. I have a study abroad plan( transfer my credits to physical uni at USA). I will turn 20 this May 11. Also have stress about my career because the growth of AI is so powerful these days. But, I won't give up. You are a girl like me(a Cs girl) and your videos are so motivating for me.
