The multímeter can measure ac voltage with a 10khz frequency precisly?

The UT33C is a very good and affordable multimeter not much different to the UT33D shown in this video. I reviewed and used extensively an Uni-T UT33C. It is much better than other no-name designs. The only major shortcoming is that it has a rather small voltage range (no 1000V scale). I assume it is so because it would require that the multimeter have a proper ceramic fuse and other circuitry changes. Since about 2020, the model has been updated, as your video shows very well. It has a different screen, but it is less legible (larger dials but thinner). In some ways, it is not a step forward. It still uses the same 9V battery, which is a quite dated design today. I would have hoped the redesign to address shortcomings, but it is still a recommended product.

Yes would be nice to see them get away from the 9v habit as you mentioned. UNI-T always has some great offerings no matter what your price range.

how NCV work? measurement for? test for? just ordered one ut33d+. maybe arrived soon ☑️ just different on a packing box compare your ut33d+. maybe my order is new version? maybe v3 💁 dunno 😅

Forgot to say Darren, I've had the 33D for maybe a couple of years on my bench. The backlight seems to stay on permanently, well I gave up after 5 minutes.

Wow that is an interesting side note , too bad they took away the indefinite backlight and replaced it with 45 second timeout...much prefer the former!!

Unit-ut33D+ vs aneng m118a which is better?

Very surprising for the price point. Could be a handy little unit, especially for me with the 200M ohm range.

I wonder if its sibling, UNI-T UT33A+, is better?

I didnt see, did it do ok in just reading a regular diode-? Nice little pocket rig, four versions to pick from one is auto range and three manual with range variations, nice little base/budget general use meter for house or hobby.

Yes one of the best of the small meters, and one of the best working continuity ranges of ANY meter big or small -- way too many large or expensive meters have less than stellar continuity ranges. I see theres four versions of this model, and the A is an auto ranger but with other range differences, so choose your flavor folks-!

Darren, do you know of any multimeter with 22000 counts cheaper than the Uni-T UT61E ? (It's 50 US dollars on eBay) I've been trying to find one cheaper with as much or more counts but failed so far.

As it stands I think that's the cheapest 22k count meter currently on the market.. I'm always on the hunt though, so if I find something cheaper I will definately let you know!

I assume it has a fresh battery. Could be a shorted transistor..could be many things...how old is the multimeter? Try cleaning tbe pcb with Isopropryl Alcohol..including the range switch..that's always a good start..check for cold solder joints or anything else that appears abnormal...

No, this dmm does not have a Capacitance range.

No it cannot.

It beeps too often and too loudly! You turn the dial and it beeps, it stays on for some time and it goes nuts like a telephone ringing!

@@freddyt4059 Great choice is the UNI-T UT890d+ excellent capacitance range up to 100mF. Also there's the small pocket meter UNI-T UT120C cheap and effective but capacitance only to 100uF.

@@KeepOnTesting Can this device be calibrated? Today I found a used 131D on a flea market and it displays systematically high (~0.5%) on low voltage ranges. I don't see any obvious trimpots or other similar parts on its PCB, and its ADC is not 7106 compatible.

All 33+ series diode test 2.1v . its disappoint.

Major design fault with this meter is the mA/uA current measurement using the same terminals as for all other measuremenst. Imagine accidently setting it to a mA/uA range, while still connected to a power supply. It will short your measurement probes. Current measurment should all be moved to the A terminal. But, then again, it is cheap but you have to be careful.
