Ойын-сауық

Uni Posca paint markers are opaque, don't smell, and great for mixed media artwork.

I love Poscas so much, glad to see you're a fan of them too! If you're struggling to get certain colours opaque enough wait for it to dry and apply another layer of marker over the top. You can also squeeze paint out of the marker and use a paintbrush if you need thinner lines. Also they make poscas with fine liner nibs for super thin lines, they're a little hard to track down in art shops though.

A few days ago i ordered posca pens and i thought the PC-3M is the normal one but no, So i was preparing to cancel my order but it cant anymore but otherways when the markers arrived you can cancel it and the rider will be disappointed, but i didn't cancel it anyways if it is thin its good to draw the sides and if u need thicker you can just color thicker😊and i know it's super expensive

Markers give you a unified line. You might want to look into acrylic ink, which you can use with nip pens and get similar lines as with your ink pen. Acrylic inks come in translucent and opaque so you best order them from a decent art supply store which provides information on their opacity. I like the effect, too. But I think the image will benefit from the look of lines made with a nip. Thank you for the inspiration.

Ill admit, the first time I used posca pens, I wasn't so sure about them. I ended up saying I didn't like them. But I retried them and, yah, they are so useful when you want to add to your watercolouring. One thing i've learned is not to be to heavy handed when drawing with them, with watercolour paper and the texture it can actually rub. Leaving torn paper bits in the paints.

Posca's are hard to get in the US for a good price. If you can't get Posca's where you live either, you can try using Liquitex's acrylic markers. You can also buy an empty paint marker and fill it with any color or brand of liquid acrylic paint you like. I bought Montana brand empty markers (fine tip & fat chisel) and filled them with Golden's high-flo Titanium White paint. I find it works just as well as a gel pen or a Posca.

You can refill the pens with acrylic paint. Many videos exist on how to do that. The process is essentially to dilute the paint with some water unless you have pre-diluted paint, unscrew the pens and add the paint with an eye-dropper.

These markers look great. Something for me to get, I think :) I wonder if weighing the markers when new on accurate digital scales might be worth doing, and then, when one of them runs dry, weigh the empty one and use that as a method to gauge the remaining ink in the others. But, I guess, as you suggested, having a spare set available is the easiest option :)

I use the Sharpie brand paint markers. The lighter colors like yellow will partially cover black with one coat, and fully cover it with two coats. I have to plan carefully how to use them because they take quite a while to dry and that can be a problem as I am left-handed and disabled. The only other problem is the paint builds up on the tip then falls away as a partially dry blob. Keeping the tip clean on scrap paper or a rag eliminates this problem. Overall I like them for what I used them for. However, I am interested and trying the Uni Posca pens.

@@teohyc Nah, not refills in that sense. Even better, the housing is reverse threaded, making these fillable with whatever you can get to flow. I wouldn't just fill with water, but it looks like that's a fair step in the process if you want to clean the thing out. Thanks for all the content and let me know if you don't want the link here, it's just one I found to demo how it works out. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hIGN15Sfc7HRorA.html

I know you like UNI products, so I'm surprise that you don't use their white gel pens. I find them almost twice as opaque as the Gellyroll pens. If you see the Uni white gel pens around at a shop, you should pick one up and give it a try, I think you'll really like them. I find that they are the most opaque of four I have tried: Faber Castel Pitt (The worst white pen- was either transparent or at best translucent), Pentel milky pop white gel pens (second worst), Sakura Gelly roll, and Uni signo white gel pens. The UNI ball Signo werenot only the best and most opaque of the four brands, but they were also the cheapest. I think I got a pack of three for six dollars on Amazon. Oddly enough, the FC Pitt were the very most expensive, I think I got four in a package for $15 and they were surprisingly terrible. I think their black Indian ink pens are great but their white gel pens were awful.

@@teohyc maybe it got a piece of the resin they dip the points in to keep them fresh when new got stuck in there? I wonder if you try really cleaning out the ball with rubbing alcohol and some stuff scribbling it might improve?? Mine are really really nice. I'll send a photo, they have some writing I can't read on them... Perhaps it's a different model that I have.

You don't need to use the knife to open the plastic wrapping, just give the posca pens cap a nice twist and it all comes off
