So many don't even follow the Commandments, and will go "Love Thy Neighbor" before turning around and being racist, sexist, homophobic, and more and then try to excuse their own hypocrisy and Godless actions and hate

When I was 10, a guest speaker came to visit the church my family attended. Before the service started, two sisters walked in on this dude grabbing a crying girl by her chest. Turns out he cornered her in the bathroom and tried to make small talk for some reason. She was 11 btw, wearing a ruffled pink dress with daisies on it. He tried defending it at first once the girls family found out, but then turned to blaming her, saying she “initiated it by smiling so provocatively at her.” She was handing out mini donuts before service and smiled at everyone. The dude got the police called on him ofc and was arrested, but I’m not super sure what happened after that. Right, there were 2 times when I was almost abducted as a child, and I was literally wearing just regular kids' clothes because I was 7-years-old while a guy watched me in his car in front of our house while I played outside. The next time I was almost taken was while I was in my house as a 9-year-old playing in the living room when a guy tried to enter through a window. The only reason I survived was because both times my dad happened to be there to stop it. In fact, most of the times I've been targeted was during childhood minding my own business and just being a kid. Rapist don't need to see you in revealing clothes because they know what's underneath and have their own imaginations. They are on a mission and don't care what you happen to be wearing that day.

Just like with every group of people on this earth with members/leaders who are scumbags and give outsiders something to stereotype the whole group with. The bigger the group, the more scumbags by pure statistics. What's the answer? Anarchy and destruction of entire systems is the lazy answer, and no. Just constant exposure of the corrupt individuals and infrastructure, and constant calling upon those in the groups to weed out the evil or it'll be weeded out for them. I used to be a Nurse/Caregiver and had a woman with severe dementia except instead of her brain feeling like it was getting older she was recalling her early memories. When ever you had a conversation with her she would spiral into that conversation. This was more often a bad thing then a good thing. She had spiraled multiple times about her family and once she would get to her brothers you'd be in tears by the end of the conversation. She had gotten pregnant by her brothers due to the years of repeated SA. Then was told that she was a Wh0re by her own father in church when he knew the circumstances and didn't want people knowing. She never healed from that and so when I hear this it's like one of the worst tastes my tongue had ever tasted. Terrible.

We stopped going after that. It’s been years but that always stuck out to me. I have my beliefs but I can’t walk into a church without remembering that moment. My most recent, former gf, but now “ex” gf grew up having to attend church weekly as a child bc her parents were that way. But she told me once about how when she & her sister were around 11 & 12 y.o. (her sister is the elder of the two) an older male member of the congregation (in his 60’s or 70’s) complained once to her parents about her sister wearing a skirt & “showing too much skin” & essentially giving him “impure thoughts.” A 12 y.o. girl, causing a senior citizen to get all pervy, and it’s “her fault.” Some people man. I swear.
