    Hey trad-man I've watched and learned a ton from your videos. (Thank you for that) I'm wondering about the water for traditional scrubber & squeegee technique. What's the best water to use....distilled, purified, tap, spring? I currently use spring and just tested the water hardiness to be 100 ppm.

  • @TradMan

    @TradMan

    Hello, thanks for your comment 😊 To answer your question I don't think it matters too much. The most important thing is using a detergent that gives a good balance between cleaning ability and glide for your squeegees. The most popular is the use of dish washing soap. Some apply it to the bucket of water. Personally I apply the soap to the applicator as it gives really good glide. Hope this helps 👍🏻

  • @TradMan

    @TradMan

    The excelerator is a more advanced tool and requires more practice/skill to use. It gives multiple angle options. The Unger swivel with an splus channel is a more forgiving squeegee but doesn't offer the same versatility.

    Hi young windowcleaner from slovakia here, This was the first video that got me into window cleaning, i got hooked right away, this is best quality content on youtube regarding windowcleaning, i have a question why dont you wipe of the excess on the sides of frames or bottom frame ? Also i have unger ninja squeege and i noticed you use unger ninja applicator using the swivel option, i noticed that on the ninja sgueege its very stiff, is it possible to use it as swivel on a pole when i loosen it ? I have bought 0 degree and S+ but i dont have the 30 swivel handle so i wondered if i can use this ninja sgueege as a swivel when its loosen, also why dont you use 18 inch instead of the 14 inch on the larger windows for pole swivel work? Thank you for clarifying my questions and for teaching me how to be a better windowcleaner! Cheers from Slovakia ❤

  • @TradMan

    @TradMan

    Жыл бұрын

    The Unger ninja isn't great for swivel pole work. The 0 and 30 degree swivel handle is designed for that though. The best pole tool currently is the moerman excelerator. When in swivel, your squeegee starts to loose pressure at the ends, the bigger you go the more pressure is lost at the ends, I use the moerman excelerator and find a 14 inch is the biggest size you can go and still get perfect results swiveling on a pole.

    It's technique, on most windows I can get zero detailing with the splus, unless it has a flat laying seal which comes out and on to the glass then I would have some detailing. Try the dive bomb technique to and that will help depending on the window 😊

  • @TradMan

    @TradMan

    3 ай бұрын

    That channel is the Unger S plus. It greatly reduces detailing although if the window has a protruding rubber seal it will leave some solution behind, so depends on the window, if the rubber seal is tucked inside the frame you can normally get close to if not zero detailing 😁
